Rewriting my review because the place has changed hands and changed menus. Pleasantly surprised to see that brunch was still on the menu, and even more pleasantly surprised to see these awesome Indian brunch fusion dishes. We got the butter chicken eggs Benedict and the masala chai French toast. It was super fun and delicious, definitely considering becoming a regular. My only regret is that the portions have shrunk somewhat since the previous owners.

Really cute ambience if you get to sit in the diner car. Recommend the gulab jamun waffle (the waffle contains mashed gulab jamun I think?) and the grilled cheese w rasam.I do NOT recommend the charred romaine salad.

Drinks are delicious! I came a day early for my friend's birthday brunch and decided to eat here twice. After looking for my party, the staff informed me the reservation was the following day and they were so sweet and funny helping me make a joke of it. The next day they remembered me and said welcome back! I ordered the Kerala green chile waffle & chicken and the next day I got the butter chicken eggs Benny. Personally, I liked the Eggs Benny better. HOWEVER, it should be noted that it's like two tiny pieces of diced chicken and more of the butter chicken sauce. A few of us ordered this and we were all wondering where the chicken was until we asked.

I went to Rosebud for brunch a few months ago with my husband and two friends. I know that they've switched ownership recently and now the food is Indian fusion. (I love Indian food). I ordered the butter chicken Benny with a side of the broccolini. Both were delicious, but the portion sizes were beyond small. I did ask for no brioche since I was trying to stay lower in carbs, so I thought maybe they'd ensure my plate was full of something. Nope... just about 1 cup of the chicken and a side of about 4 pieces of broccolini. My husband's deviled eggs he added to his meal as a side- same thing. I think he got 4 of them? For $12. The flavors were good, but the prices and portions were not. We were both starving when we left. So, sadly, I think I'd skip this next time.

Great Indian fusion concept. I had the Butter Chicken Pot Pie, but everybody I was with ordered different dishes and everybody raved about them. Highly recommended. I don't live in Boston, but I definitely wish we had one of these back home.

The grilled cheese with chutney is life-changing. I was never excited about this place in previous iterations but now…wow. All the food here is incredible (we went as a big group and tried 10 different plates). Can’t wait to come back.

Since they changed direction, Rosebud's food has improved vastly. It does seem a bit odd that they swapped out the menu and most of the staff but haven't changed any of the decor yet.

Love the new menu. The drinks were incredible. Recommend the Last Words drink. But Indian food and American dinner good is amazing.

SAD ! Service was very slow and extremely rude. Waiter questioned my order and asked if I would be able to finish it as a girl, looking at my fiance for confirmation. We ended up being there 2 hours due to slow service and were checked on once the entire time though it was not busy. At the end, our waiter again condescendingly commented on how much of my meal I was able to eat, asking "What happened? Did it end up being too much?" (I had 1 wing left)Never going back.

Came into Rosebud on our last day in the Boston area before heading to the airport. We thought they might be closed at first since their Yelp page was telling us that but we went in and found out they were open. They had just opened back up under new ownership and we were sure glad they did. We walked in and the first thing we noticed was how friendly the staff was. There was not a lot of people there so we had our pick of where we wanted to sit. We of course had to sit in the diner car of course. Our waiter quickly came to see if we wanted anything to drink and they had a lot of options for $10. I went with The Spicy 'Lil Rita with Tequila. I really enjoyed it and I'm not a big Spicy Margarita fan most times either. The bartender even came over to check and see we we liked our drinks which of course we did. We started looking at food options and loved how they had diner classics but a lot of things had an Indian spin on them. Everything sounded so good. We of course had to get some apps and we went with the Kashmiri Deviled Eggs and added Tikka Chicken and the Dal Hummus which is served with Roti. The deviled Eggs were great. I loved the spices they mixed in with the yolk and the Tikka Chicken was flavorful and perfectly cooked. The Hummus might have been the best I have ever had. I was so fresh, flavorful and the Roti was a great change from regular pita plus we of course love Roti. We originally left after drinks and appetizers to walk around and check out some other places in the area but after an hour we decided we really wanted to come back and try more of there food and drinks. To drink I got the Bombay to Boston which was their take on an Old Fashioned. I was very good and loved the Curry Bitters. I also tried the Famous Last words which is normally not something I go for being Rum based but also really enjoyed it too. I will say I had a very hard time trying to pick what to get for my entrée since so much sounded great so I had to ask our waiter what he suggested. He told me the Kerala Fried Chicken Sandwich and Spicy Fries. The Chicken Sandwich was cooked perfectly and I loved the Green Chutney Mayo on it. Again love the Indian twisted they did to things. For sure made everything better in my opinion. I also really like the Spicy Fries which were thin and had great spices on them but didn't make them too spicy by any means. We had a great time at Rosebud and would for sure come back. Great food and drinks but the staff was a huge part that had use come twice in one day.

Great place. Food is good. Unique and good for people who don't want the authenticity of Indian spices in their face!

I enjoyed but not blown away. I feel like it was eatable but not memorable. Plus I really don't like dark meat chicken sandwich- sorry I am probably in the minority there but I would rather the breast.

Hands down the best Indian restaurant in the area. We live close by and never knew this place served Indian food. I just stumbled upon their menu to find out they had a variety of Indian dishes. We were a big party so could try many dishes. It's hard to pick a fav, but I loved the Indian veg chili, which is nothing but pav bhaji, Kashmiri deviled eggs were a delight, Ros omelette had a delicious curry with it. We loved that they serve masala chai, it had nice flavor of cardamom, and it felt like it was freshly made, which was nice. My friends had hot chocolate, and it had a perfect amount of sweetness. Tikka tots and The masala chai French toast were okayish. The french toast flavor was a nice flavor to think of, but it didn't hit the right spot. In desserts, we tried the gulab jamun waffles, and they just melted in our mouth. Don't miss having it. Definitely visiting this place to try out their lunch and dinner menusVegetarian options: Indian vegetarian chili, avocado green chutney toast

We had a family tradition of stopping here for brunch when we visit Boston, but the restaurant has changed management since summer 2023 and not for the better. We were used to great and timely service and a nice variety of American brunch dishes. The service as soon as we walked through the door was not was it used to be and there were no servers working in the restaurant for the first 15min of our visit. In the past there were people at the bar and servers, now it was empty. The dishes didn’t have the variety from before as well. Won’t be returning.

Very disappointed by the attitude of the female manager. My friends and I walked in with *one* cup of chai that we got from a Temple. We were told we couldn’t enter the restaurant with the chai because it would mean we would order fewer drinks and it would be a lose to the restaurantQuite shocked that we literally couldn’t bring one cup in when we ended up spending $70 on the food AND ordered a drink.Hope they don’t treat customers so transactionallyFYI - the food was average. So I would avoid this place
