The food was decent, but only if you compare it to other vegan restaurants. I wouldn't go back unless I needed to eat with a vegan friend. The mushroom appetizer, the ravioli, and the desserts were quite good. The tacos, arancini, and cauliflower were just ok. The menu itself was a bit all over the place, which can work sometimes, but was a bit of a miss here.

We got a take out order here for breakfast and got the biscuits / gravy and the Benedict. The Benedict was fantastic and would be worth getting again. The biscuits and gravy were a bit bland. Will report back after eating from their dinner menu!

I've been vegan/ vegetarian for the last 6 months. I'm working in Medford and staying in Arlington. I had a fantastic dinner experience last night. I thought I'm not hungry but finished my starter and main course. The bartender was very friendly and service was quick. I recommend to people who are vegan as well as those who are nonvegetarians. I assure you, you will have a great experience.Amazing tasty food.

Excellent vegan restaurant in Boston but not extraordinary or out this world. An option if you are looking to eat out and really craving a diverse menu but in my opinion not worth the cost. The ambience and service was great and really nice vegan date night experience.

I've only had brunch here a couple of times and never any complaints. This is the benedict (uber eats) and a side of bacon. My non vegan friend said she liked the vegan bacon better than meat bacon. Updated from previous review on 2023-05-18

Non vegan here! Tried this restaurant since I'm currently not eating dairy. We had the waffle with 'buttermilk' tofu, Spanish omelet, and side of Mac and 'cheese.' Waffle was the standout, I would eat it again. Areas for improvement include 1) additional syrup (substitute) on the waffle, but could not get servers' attention, 2) home fries were not appropriately crispy, 3) frying the tofu in smaller pieces so there were more crispy bits. I would not eat the mac and cheese or the omelet again. As a vegan restaurant, I'd give True Bistro 4/5 stars. I prefer Koshari Mama and Veggie Galaxy in this area for vegan food.In comparison to any restaurant, I'd give True Bistro 3/5 stars.Dietary restrictions: Vegan
This was absolutely delicious, we didn't try one thing that we didn't like!!

I'm a long time vegan and ate dinner here with a group of colleagues. While I was very impressed with the food, quality, and taste, my non-veg dinner colleagues all enjoyed their meals so much that they all plan to go back! I loved the crispy oyster mushrooms and potato & kale cakes appetizers. The Thai red curry was simply amazing. Everything looked great and tasted delicious. I tried the chocolate filled beignets which exploded with chocolate in my mouth. If I wasn't on a business trip to Boston, I think I'd eat here most every minute! The waitress was very helpful with recommendations and service was perfectly timed. Terrific restaurant!

We went there for our anniversary. So many options to choose from. All food was delicious with beautiful presentation. Wait staff were all very attentive. Reasonably priced. Will definitely be back

Overall, we had a good experience, and having a fancier vegan offering is great! However, some food was just okay while some was amazing.
