I have one in my neighborhood and will be sad when I move! The donuts are yummy with a rotating selection and a couple constant classics. People that work there are super nice and helpful. There's room to sit and eat if you like- but I like to walk home and heat my donut up. My favorite is the vegan cinnamon sugar (I'm not vegan) because the texture is so soft. I disagree with the review saying they're too greasy. Maybe they don't know how donuts are made? I've also tried a take&bake garlic bread and it was pretty good! My one con is that the choc covered donuts are too rich for me, but I'm more of a milk chocolate person.

Hazelnut donut was not good after being recommended as best donut. $5 is steep for a bad donut

Was super excited to the these donuts but was a little underwhelmed by the flavors. They have a good variety but didn't taste as fresh as I'd expected them too.

I visited Union Square Donuts for the first time I was so excited from hearing about all the different donuts and the three lady's were very nasty very poor customer service they also told me to pay for my donuts before they hand me my bag like I was not going to pay for the donuts they almost act like they did not like black people you should not treat your customers like that or make them feel some type of way I will never shop at assembly Road location ever again terrible terrible customer service and donut was not no good at all

The donuts here appear amazing (10/10 on looks), however the flavors just aren't there. A filled donut that was supposed to be vanilla tasted like cream with no actual vanilla flavor. Red velvet tasted dense like a cake but with no actual flavor to it. Coffee donut was good overall but tasted like a maple donut from Dunkin - it didn't actually taste like coffee at all (which I had been excited about the most). Only one that had flavor worth it's price tag was coconut which was flaky dough and flavorful. If this store put nearly as much effort into the taste as they do the presentation, these would be incredible.

This is a generic comment about Union Square's donuts...specifically the vegan ones: too greasy! Like, grossly greasy. Spent a ridiculous $30 on half a dozen donuts and won't ever do that again...at least now I know I haven't been missing out on much, except...grease.

My friend and I stopped in here briefly. Anticipating and expecting something tasty. We both got a basic sugar donut I believe, left the store, and took a bite. We both looked at each other with a shock and surprised look, like "are you as disappointed as I am?" The donuts were absolutely awful... dry, thick, and old tasting. As if that weren't enough, the title for 2 donuts was literally over 9$. It was pathetic, and such a joke. This place got a 1/10, and I would not recommend to anyone. If you are charging upwards of 4$ for a donut, I better borderline orgasm... rather than throw it in the trash.

The sugar donut is amazing! So so good! I love how the donuts come in a pizza box, very cute. The vibe of the shop is very artisan and simple. I appreciate how the donut flavors are all on display so it's easy to figure out what you'd like. However, when I got my dark chocolate donut today and my fiancé and I split it to try, there must've been some cross contamination with the peppermint brownie donut because the chocolate frosting on our donut tasted very peppermint. My fiancé was like "wait, does that taste like peppermint to you?" And yup! We both hate peppermint, I think it's disgusting, I feel like I'm eating toothpaste. We have another chocolate frosted donut in our box we are saving to eat tomorrow and I'm hoping it's not peppermint flavored either :(

Still don't get the hype. Donuts are greasy and taste more like oil than anything else. They are overly sweet...maybe that's to hide the oil taste, idk. Danish is soggy, overloaded, without any cheese layer to balance the tart and overly sweetened toppings. Overpriced for what you get. So sad.

Doughnuts so good that I actually wear the merch. Honestly the best ones texture wise are usually the vegan ones. They are so super delicious.

The greatest customer service, quality donuts, I just can't say enough about the place. They must really stress good customer service there because it's the best in the city of Somerville

This is a great place to go on the way to work or even just to start a productive day! Their donuts, pastries, and bread are amazing. Their coffee is tasty! The inside is setup efficiently and it still looks welcoming. The ambiance of fresh coffee and donuts in unmatched in the morning!

Upon reading all the magazine articles etc regarding this place I decided to give it a try. Half a dozen doughnuts for $28? I mean seriously. I will admit they use higher end ingredients for toppings. But not executed well. Of my doughnuts only the hazelnut and brown butter was enjoyable. The rest were horrible and didn't take 2nd bite of any of them. Dough is like bubble gum. Endless chewing. Doughnuts are supposed to be light and airy. It seems they cook doughnuts on site. Why are they cold? I'd much prefer a better executed and cheaper option elsewhere

I really wanted these to be so amazing! But they just weren't my favorite. Went on a Sunday morning around 10am. Maybe we need to try them again earlier in the morning to get them fresh! They all look incredible but most of them were pretty dry. They have fun seasonal flavors!
