if you are in any way unenthused by axe throwing but still need to go here to meet the social expectations of your friends, just meet them at an actual bar after. eventually you will have to reveal to the staff that you don't want to do this and they will tell you sarcastically to "have fun" and then curse you out for asking too many questions. however they do have a good selection of beer and the cool bartender will tell you the scores in lieu of them having a tv to watch any game whatsoever. very strange place.

Really lousy time at a work outing earlier. Coach was way too intense with the schtick. I know I have no athletic ability and accept that my form will never be right and I’ll never throw hard enough. I really wanted to have a drink and some laughs with colleagues. I didn’t want unsolicited extra coaching and to be singled out in front of colleagues. I’m absolutely fine with zero points - not with being the only one who has my name written on the ground as a place to stand and the “I’m watching you” eyes/finger point. Please read the cues and don’t embarrass someone to the point they leave for a panic attack in the car. It’s not that serious to everyone.

It was alright. The axe throwing itself was a good time. The assigned coach made it a bit less fun. My wife was having trouble getting the axe to stick and the coach was failing to help her. After some time I attempted to help my wife by relating the motion to something she is familiar with and the coach told me I was mansplaining. Considering the price I was expecting something a bit more professional. The coach also let us know she had smoked a joint before our session.

Mike was awesome! He taught even me to hit the board. Even if you’re bad at it (like me) it’s so much fun and definitely worth it!

Had the best time tonight for a birthday party!!!! Max was the BEST instructor, made me feel so comfortable when I was nervous, and guided me to actually become a better thrower with amazing tips. Dave the bartender also made my night. The entire experience here was amazing but those two deserve a shout out!!! Thank you Dave & Max!!!
