This review isn't about the food. Let's face it, it's IHOP. We all know the food isn't great and will make you pass a brick later.This review is entirely about the insane amount of WASTE!A friend and I ordered takeout recently. We ordered multiple items. Every single item, from entrees down to the smallest biscuit, came individually packaged in huge bubble-shaped plastic containers. I'm not talking about the nice plastic takeout containers most restaurants use - the ones with black plastic bottoms and clear plastic tops that you can wash, reuse, and microwave. I'm talking about huge single use flimsy plastic containers that wouldn't even stay closed long enough for us to keep the leftovers in them after we were done. And every single item was in its own enormous container, even things that could have been packaged in paper cups or bags.I also indicated that we did not need utensils. When we got home, I discovered that we received a big paper bag stuffed FULL with 12 sets of plastic utensils! We also received 50 ketchup packets (I had ONE hashbrown), along with a normal amount of butter and syrup. What we did not receive was the sour cream addition to my omelet that I actually ordered and paid extra for!All for the sake of overpriced and generally lousy food. We definitely won't be going to any IHOP again.

Went around 5 on a Friday night. We were seated right away. There were about 4 others tables with customers. Everyone was being ignored by staff. We were never asked what we'd like to drink and nobody approached us to get an order. After 30 minutes, we left. Very dissatisfied.

For starters my waitress Jennifer had great customer service!! & even though it wasn’t her fault the food was not served hot & fresh! Definitely a disappointment because I woke up wanting a fresh hot omelette & chocolate pancakes! You know the pancakes aren’t warm enough when the butter doesn’t even melt 😐 & the chicken in the omelette was cold as if the plate had been sitting out (the establishment wasn’t packed when I got there)! I came early because the last time my food was cold & that was sometime last year! Since it had been months I figured I’d give this location another chance & the same thing happened again

The place was not full, just a few tables and the order was for me alone. My food took about 40 minutes after they brought me the coffee. My breakfast of bones, bacon and potatoes was good, but the French toast was not, because it was as if it had been taken out of the freezer, I could only eat the banana, the strawberries and the whipped cream. Today it was very full, my wait time was 20 minutes.

I changed my review from over 5 years ago. IHOP changed their app and deleted all my history AND gift card. Went back and forth with customer service for a week that can't find me (Really????) and resolved each time with just open a new account. No Thanks! HELLO DENNYS?
Very bad service you have to wait a long time to get a table!! If you arrive at least hungry you have to wait about 30 minutesBut the food is excellent 10/10

My sister was visiting from out of town and wanted to go out to IHOP for breakfast.We walk in, and the host is nowhere to be seen, and there's a line of 10 people in front of us. No problem. Just need to put our name in, and then we can wander til our table is ready.15 minutes go by, and the line is now out the door. No host in sight. The place wasn't very busy but seemed understaffed with how the waiters were buzzing about. The waitstaff were repeatedly glancing at the line but didn't acknowledge anyone waiting.Nearly 20 minutes standing there looking stupid, my sister just looked at me and sadly knodded towards the door, and we walked out.If a host is on break or something, at least have a waiter fill in. Let people know they'll be there shortly. And if they aren't on break, ffs go GET them!The whole situation was awkward and ridiculous. Never in my life experienced such terrible awful disgraceful service

Server was okay but mostly everything else was horrible. I haven't been to IHOP for quite a long time because it was bad the last time I ate at the west springfield location a couple of years ago. The person at the front disappeared for a long time while people continued coming in and waiting for someone to take their name. We stood around and watched at least 4 booths empty but no one was getting seated. Someone even requested to speak to the manager which, of course, didn't happen. While i was waiting, I heard more people say they would not come back (those who hadn't already walked out). I know I won't be back. I realize that sometimes there is a shortage of staff but this was ridiculous.
