Our first time at Baba Sushi. We ordered Hot Pot with steak and veggies in addition to Sashimi and some specialty rolls. Everything was excellent. Server clearly explained how the process worked and was patient with bringing food out to not rush us through dinner. The hot pot and rolls were excellent and sashimi was very fresh. Would highly recommend and we will definitely be back.

We have been to Baba Sushi in Sturbridge many times and it has always been great. However, last night was disappointing. We each started with a Mai tai, which was all juice and barely any alcohol. We ordered crab rangoons as an appetizer, which we have enjoyed in the past. Last night they were chewy, as if they had been reheated. There was only a small dab of cream cheese in the bottom, and not one speck of crab to be found. I politely told our young waiter about the drinks and rangoons, and he apologized. When he brought our maki rolls out, he simply said he hoped these would make up for the other shortcomings. The maki rolls were good, but a little underwhelming compared to past experiences there. The waiter never returned to ask how the rolls were or if he could refill our waters or get another drink of any kind. When the bill came, the disappointing drinks and rangoons were still on the bill. No visit from a manager either to inquire about our concerns. We are not planning to go back there anytime soon.

We went to Baba last night and it was excellent. We were greeted well at the door, seated right away in the upstairs loft which is a really good location. I know they have hotpot and it is great but we did sushi and it was so good and so fresh. The sashimi tartar for an appetizer is amazing must have. The drinks weee fantastic and the staff were great. Overall excellent night!!

Although the food and service were very good, the restaurant itself was icy cold.After I arrived home, I couldn't warm up, even after taking a long, hot shower. I felt coldness settle into my lungs and was sick for an entire week.

Visited for the first time on Valentine's Day. The place was very busy and it took about 5 minutes to be seated. We were about 15 early for our reservation and were still at our table early. We were seated on the second floor in a back room. Pros... It was quiet. Con... It was very cold. Server was very attentive but busy on a holiday. Food was very good. Shumai was crispy and the sauce was excellent. Fried rice was good with a lot of different vegetables. I noticed mini corn, carrots, cauliflower, and asparagus. The maki rolls were very good. The only negative I would say is that the maki rolls were much smaller in diameter than other sushi places with similar prices and quality. Ultimately, we would go here again.Parking: Free valet parking

Sushi is always good. However, portion sizes have been reduced. My entire party complained of weak drinks and we had a very extended wait period for drinks.
First and foremost, the server was great and very patient. We've been here in the past and it was pretty decent but a tad pricey. This time we got hot pot, multiple other simple dishes (udon, sushi, fried rice) and all were ok minus the hot pot.The hot pot, at a hefty ~$90 price tag, is essentially spicy water. The absolutely high end price tag would usually signify a mind blowing experience, but after 3 attempts at new broths I can safely say it is in fact, just overpriced spicey water.Again the waitress was great, but you're much better off spending half the price for larger, more satisfying portions almost anywhere else.Side note: the alcoholic drinks are about 2 sips.If you're looking to get full and tipsy here, I pray for your wallet.

Staff is incredibly welcoming and knowledgeable. Ambiance is amazing with multiple party rooms available on request and most importantly, the fish is far fresher than neighboring sushi restaurants. Try the seafood tomyum!!!

Sushi and other dishes were excellent. All of our guests thought the drinks were very weak - almost no alcohol. Additionally, the wait for drinks and even water was incredibly long. This is a change from the last several times we have visited the restaurant. That being said, the sushi is excellent!

Hubby chose here for his bday dinner. It was phenomenal. Mango Mai Tai's to start off, with Kani cucumber salad, oysters in the 1/2 shell (our favorite here),Hamachi Kama & 2 maki rolls. We sat upstairs which we really like! And our waitress Summer was the BEST! She hustled for all her tables not an easy thing going up & down the stairs.

Overall place is nice, staff is very friendly. Service is slow and prices are way too high for the portions. $14 for four Crab Rangoons. I honestly left the place hungry after a few appetizers and some sushi. Maybe I will give it another try in the future.

We celebrated our friends 45th birthday with a private room and it was a surprise for the birthday girl. The host and staff helped hugely keeping it a surprise to the very last minute! Our server was very tentative, setup the room before we arrived and always checked in on us with enough time between so we enjoyed our selves. 10/10 recommend booking events here to celebrate a special occasion.
