This box lunch has amazing daily lunch specials… was missing lobster in middle of new england winter. Decided to try their lobster roll and they had three options, quarter a pound - half a pound or 1 pound that’s huge/ I got the half pound. (Thought I’d save the second half for later, but that never happened. I ate the whole thing) it was the best lobster roll I’ve ever had in my long New England Life. Was very fresh and tender and sweet, perfectly proportioned bun with the butter. perfect - After every bite, I said mmmmm… can’t recommend the lunch special enough- and its open year round.. seriously yummmm

My only mission was to get my daily, morning coffee. Box Lunch in Truro not only had me covered there, but is managed by a kind, helpful, engaging proprietor. I finished my coffee card today, leaving town tomorrow. He gave me another one and said “you will be back.” He is right. I highly recommend them.

The food is was and will always be great here. I’ve been going to box lunch for years, always a good treat. I was traveling down Cape this past Wednesday and decided to stop at the Truro location. I ordered a single wrap and a drink, waited about 5-7 mins for my sandwich. Handed the gentleman my card, who swiped it and returned it to me. I did not sign for this transaction. The next morning I receive a text message (I receive alerts for EVERY transaction I conduct on my debit card) saying my transaction has been updated to show a tip. All of $5 on a $12 check. I never tipped, let alone $5 on a $12 check is ridiculous. I’m not one of the wealthy tourists. I called them immediately and spoke with the SAME gentleman that took my order and ran my card. No apologies was ever given. No form of compassion or sympathy for the dishonesty. He CLAIMS he checked the receipts and couldn’t find anything with the last 4 digits of my card. Then begin to ask if I’m sure it was the Truro location. He then says it must’ve been an error, they only put in what they see in a check (MIND YOU, I NEVER SIGNED) then he says “There’s no need for a fuss he can just TOSS me 5 bucks when I’m around) as if I’m a random person looking for $5. Been going here for years and Will absolutely never go here again. The dishonesty, the lack of remorse and compassion, and complete RUDENESS that followed after that ordeal is ridiculous. Again, no apology was ever made. You can keep the $5 since you were so dishonest about it to begin with. I dont need to be thrown 5 bucks. Its the principle, which clearly doesn’t exist here.
