In a world where good service is hard to find because customers have normalized being difficult, Michael at Jalepenos is the best. Very attentive, always recommending something new and he is great with kids.

Food was terrible. It was dry and no flavor. The worst I ever had. The bathroom wasn't handicapped and the wooden toilet seat was all chipped. There was hardly any paint left on the seat. You could spend $50 to replace the toilet seat.

Really too bad. I used to like this place a lot, but the last few times I've been, the service was terrible. Tonight my husband and I waited 20 minutes after being seated. No server ever came to our table despite walking by multiple times. The restaurant was not full - plenty of tables open. We eventually got up and left.

This place is great! We were sad to see Jalapa's in Millis close and were looking for a new Mexican restaurant, and Jalapeno's is fantastic! Great food, sizeable portions, friendly staff, and a funky interior with plenty of seating.

Vegetarian options: There's a few vegetarian options but it's basically just substitute mixed veggies for the meat. For a Mexican restaurant, I expected more bean-based options.

Friday evening with friends. Great location in Walpole's vibrant "village" section. Really like the decor and vibe: lively, colorful, casual, friendly. Immediate and attentive service throughout. Food arrived extremely quickly! Waitress checked on us often and brought refills. Huge menu! Food was hot and tasty. Now here's my minor pickiness: 1. the salsa that's brought to the table is nearly 100% small chunks of tomatoes, onion, etc. It has a great kick. But if you're looking for just some liquid into which to dip your tortilla chips like I was, you're pretty much out of luck. This is all about "the chunk." I would have loved all those chunks blended into a great salsa, but I really can't stand eating chunks of raw onion and peppers. 2. there are no refried beans at this place. Only black beans which are not refried. Personally I really like refried beans and don't like beans that are not refried so I was out of luck. Since rice and black beans come with most dishes, I asked to omit the black beans. It would have been nice if the kitchen had filled in that space with another scoop of rice to make up for not having beans. Rice has to be darn cheap. But that didn't happen. I had a chicken enchilada - the chicken was plentiful and beautifully shredded. Very good. Enchiladas on the small side but it's certainly plenty of food. Come here with friends. Everyone will enjoy the atmosphere and there's so much on the menu.

I do not know how this place has such high ratings. I hate to leave such a negative review but it was really not good. Menu felt extremely overpriced for what was served, and then everything on the bill was $1-2 more than what the menu said. The drinks were so sweet, the food was just bad and it seemed like we were a burden to our server. We will absolutely not be back. I wouldn’t waste your time.

Nice family friendly place. This was my first time visiting Jalapeños from a neighboring town and I was excited for their menu. When we arrived we were greeted quickly and given a table in a corner. The assigned server to the section was busy so a warm gentleman took our order and took care of us the entire time. I had the Carne Asada Tempequeña and my husband had the Al Pastpr Tacos and a watermelon mojito. Everything from the salsa and chips to dessert (fried plantains) were tasty and cooked well. Our server even gave us some salsa to take home, which was very generous. 10/10!

Service, food sucks. On a sunday night 6pm, only one - literally 1 server. What the heck? Only good thing was even before we came in they put the chips and salsa on the table (because we had called in earlier). But rest of the experience was very mediocre. They don't even gave us a to-go box after asking 2 times. Missrable place. We wouldn't go here second time.

The tacos where very good. The rice and beans had a nice flavor but where not very hot. There chips were very good. Salsa looked good but I unfortunately didn't get to eat any.

Made inedible burrito for me. Asked for no beans - and there was 50% of beens and 50% of meet in the burrito, a tea spoon of lettuce, a drop of cheese. Too dry to eat, had to throw out and order from another place. My husband's tacos were not good either.

The food was ok, the burrito was good, and the chicken. Quesadillas was good, but the chicken on the Fajitas was a little dry. The margaritas were pretty good, great selection. The chirros were good as well. Our server did a good job, although it looks like he was new since we had to remind him of some of our options. Overall, it is a good spot if you are in the area. There is plenty of parking on the back. Disclaimer: We decided to eat outside at night, so we had a little visitor around our table. We told the server, and he said that they have tried to catch it but have been unsuccessful. I'm not sure if he was joking, but he should have recommended moving us once we mwntion the little visitor.
