*New Management* Some menu items have changed. No more turkey kabobs, asked for beef kabobs, and got a mix of beef and lamb. It's still good. I will try again after they are better established.

Now Boston Kabab and under new management. The Demos menu is still available and that has been augmented with a wider selection of dishes from throughout the Mediterranean. So far, I've liked what I've tried.

Earlier this year (2022), Demo's became Boston Kebab Waltham, so some of the earlier reviews may not be true of Boston Kebab. I got their Gyro Sandwich for takeout, and it was very good!

If I could give it zero, I would. There are new owners and the recipe is not the same. My husband has been going there for years. He was talking to the kid up front who told him both stores have been sold. This food was awful! Rice mushy and no flavor. Lamb chewy. Disappointed!

Trash. Forgot half the things on our pita and the side. There were 3 things on the order. Shouldn't be that hard.

Worst customer service. The guy at the counter looks at you at like you're not welcome. My boyfriend and I were very hungry but I insisted that we go to another restaurant coz the reception was terrible. My boyfriend was so hungry and he insisted that we stay and eat. I only stayed coz of him. I don't plan on dining there again

I've been going to Demo's for more than 30 years. This review is for Waltham. I haven't been in probably 2-3 years. It used to be great food at a reasonable price. Today I got a shish kebab beef dinner. Something has changed in the past 2-3 years. Everything about the food is meh. The beef was ok, but totally bland. There was nothing Greek about it - no lemon, garlic or oregano. It was like nursing home beef. The grilled onions and peppers were ok. The Greek salad was such a disappointment. The salad used to be the highlight. Again, totally bland - no lemon, garlic or oregano. It was romaine, with a fair amount of feta, one olive and half a slice of tomato. The rice pilaf was like from a box topped with bland tomato sauce from a can. The tomato sauce had no flavor. It didn't even taste like tomato. Everything needed salt. I mean the food was blander than a TV dinner. Demo's has changed for the worse in the past 2-3 years. I won't be going back. Also, I got the wrong order and was overcharged. I went in and told them my number. The guy grabs the slip from the bag and rings it up, $35. I said 'are you sure? $35 for a beef kabob dinner?.' His initital reaction was to say, 'yeah.' I was like wtf. He went back to the kitchen and got my order. It was like $17.50. If the two takeout orders were closer in price he would have given me the wrong order and I never would have noticed.

Pork was a mixed of raw and cooked pieces. Rice was undercooked. Overall not good quality food.

I'm not sure if they're using different recipes than the Demos in Watertown, but the food quality is terrible by comparison. The worst offender was snotty, soupy hummus... we couldn't even get through a few bites because the texture was nasty. The lamb skewers we ordered were cooked to death and dry. The spanakopita was flabby and not fresh. Y'all can do better.

Skip this place. Our order was incorrect (they sent pork instead of lamb) and they didn't do much when we called to correct it - no new dish to replace it because they don't do delivery and no refund because there were other items on the receipt (our fault for ordering one dish per person in our 4-person party i guess). After several minutes of insisting, Oozie said he would void the transaction. The dishes that came were super bland. The rice is covered in tomato sauce that tastes like it came straight from a can. 1. Chicken skewers - dry and bland. 2. Beef skewers - looked pink but were incredibly chewy. Comes with a few pieces of green pepper and onions. Not flavorful at all.

I've been enjoying food from Demos since the early 1980's. Nothing earth-shattering, just solid diner-style Greek-American food at a reasonable price. Hearty, home-cooked meals, salads, sandwiches and grilled items. Our longtime favorite is their meatloaf plate with rice and salad. A pound of beef-lamb meatloaf with cinnamon-scented tomato sauce, pilaf, and Greek salad with feta. All I have to do is say the word "Demos", and the eyes of my family light up! We usually do take out, which is fast and efficient. In-house dining is comfortable, but somewhat lacking in personality.

I got the lamb kebob plate for lunch. The lamb, rice, and salad were all flavorless and very disappointing. The least satisfying meal I have had in the Waltham area in a very long time.
