First time here and I enjoyed my dinner. I had the Main St. Salad which is the steak salad. My steak was cooked perfect, medium rare. I change the dressing to the white balsamic instead of the chipotle and left off the blue cheese.

TESSIES bar & kitchen is freaking great. I didn't do Tessie's kitchen (but I did hear they have the 2nd best burger(not sure what the scale is or how many restaurants are in the running but it seems true and still awesome)). I had a few guinesses which put me offf my rocker and the bartender named JAMIE was super nice and sociable and talkative and respectful. She deserves a raise and a half. Next time I will try the burger and not just get washed off guinesses

Loved this spot in Waltham for rainy day lunch! This was our first time and really enjoyed the food and the overall experience. Build Your Own Burgers was my favorite. And they have good crafts beer offerings too. We live within walking distance and are considering this as our favorite walkable lunch spot for the summer.

I popped in for lunch on St. Patrick's day. First, the music system isn't work. Frankly, it would be better if they just shut it off. It was loud and kept fuzzing in and out. It made for a very disconcerting dining experience. Service was slow, but they were busy. Ordered a southwest salad, garlic tots, and the chicken curry empanada special. The tots were really good. My friend liked his salad. We each had a specialty cocktail that tasted great. The empanadas were meh, but not bad.

This year for our D & D trip we went to Boston, Nashua and Providence. After a long day exploring the Freedom Trail and the Boston Museum of Science we went for burgers at a place close to our hotel in Waltham. Tessie’s has great burgers and other tavern food. We had a great time watching/passively playing in their trivia night. Overall a great night out with my daughter.

My partner and I went to this place last night after 8pm. We ordered two burgers medium rare. The room was dark and I was hungry so I ate all of mine while my partner didn't. The stomach pain woke me up around 6am. I have not able to stand straight or eat anything. My partner also feels some pain in her stomach. When we checked the leftover this morning, we noticed the burger was way too rare than what we asked for. Despite the nice waitress, we would not go there again.

Placed a door dash order… the dasher forgot to grab both of our bags from the restaurant. Got a call from someone saying he left a bag behind but they were sending someone out with the second one. Honestly… food was excellent. Customer service. Excellent…. The girl that dropped off the forgotten bag was so sweet and we just really appreciated them doing that for us more than they probably realize. Will definitely be our new weekly spot!

We are visiting from California and needed to eat. Luckily we saw Tessie's and there were people inside, always a good sign. Not too many reviews so I have to add mine. We had the Commentator burger with fries and a regular salad. The burger was perfect, the fries were crispy and the salad was huge and fresh and really good. I highly recommend this place. Bar style ambience, full stock bar and lots of specialty drinks.

Everything about this place is great. The atmosphere and ambience are great, and so is the food. I have had many of their burgers and they are all good - especially the tessie's, calusa, Kiki and the holy guacamole. The sides are also wonderful - my wife loved the sweet potato fries and I like their fires and garlic tots. Highly recommend!
