Best bar in the suburbs. The staff is awesome and the bar is just really a good space.

It's absolutely one of my favorite restaurants in all of Massachusetts. The food is incredible. I've tried everything on the menu and have been amazed at the quality of the food. If you're looking for a place to impress your date or want to sit down with friends and family, I would highly recommend this restaurant. The staff are friendly and professional, and the desserts are to die for. I give this restaurant an A+

First time at The Federal, it was a great experience. We shared the Charcuterie and the Pear&Burratta salad as an appetizer, both were delicious and enough for 2 people. The French Onion soup was delicious, one of the best around, smothered with cheese!

Excellent food, ambience, presentation, service, price value. I was disappointed and expecting the Bourbon Pecan Pie to be presented as a Slice of Warm Pecan pie with ice cream on top. It was not a Slice as the menu says, Instead it was a small Cold Tart. Not appealing nor in the traditional idea of Pecan Pie. Menu needs to reflect what you are getting.

Had a late reservation at The Federal. The staff could not have been more accommodating from start to finish, never felt rushed. Started with escargot and oysters rockefeller, outstanding classics. My date had the Tuna, I had the short ribs both incredible. LOVE this place.
Disappointed. Waitress was great. Had haddock (40.00) - overcooked. Two tough asparagus spears . The fingerling potatoes- seemed oily or soggy. Did not finish. My wife's meal - she enjoyed. Salmon,FF and broccolini. Cinnamon cheese cake good. Would have been good - but my meal sucked!
Will our server was very nice and attentive. The appetizers and entrees came out rather quickly. The food was hot and very good, although 2 of the 3 filets were a little overcooked then ordered, but still very good. The tiramisu was delicious and a portion for 2 to share.

The food at The Federal is excellent and the service was attentive. Definitely a place for special occasions or business dinners as it is a bit pricey. For some reason our OpenTable reservation was changed to 6 people about 10 minutes before we arrived. Don't know how this happened but it caused some confusion at the front desk.
We all ordered the Delmonico (ribeye without a bone) and it was a piece of heaven. Is that too dramatic?! The food was absolutely delicious and a decent portion as well. We had the burrata w prosciutto and blue cheese wedge salads. I recommend this restaurant. Finally quality paired w value!

I really enjoyed the Haddock dish, and the Cinnamon roll cheesecake was delicious! Our server was very attentive and helpful and had a really nice approach and personality. It was a great night and I plan to return.

We are at The Federal for the first time. We started off with escargot and raw cherry stones, delicious! My husband had the cowboy steak with garlic mashed potatoes and asparagus and chose two sauces. Everything was cooked perfectly. I had the French onion soup and the wedge salad. I could not finish it all but loved both. We then shared an incredible Tiramisu and pistachio gelato with huge pieces of pistachio. I have not had dessert this good since visiting Sicily. But, the best part of all was our server, Amanda. She deserves a huge raise. She is so sweet, helpful, friendly and extremely attentive! We will definitely go back and ask for Amanda every time ❤️
Very nice meal last nite. Crab cakes were nice and crabby ($22 I think) but not crispy enough on the exterior. The entrees of duck and swordfish were excellent and a good size, $28 and $32 maybe. Side of garlic broccolini was tasty, tiramisu and pistachio zeppole were excellent. Had a problem with the cocktail being too warm and it needed to be reworked twice to get there. Drink prices are decent for today's overpriced times. Good service overall and its pleasant spot for dinner.

The only issue was the process of getting seated. We did not want a booth and requested a standard table. That options was not "presented" to us even though there were several open tables; we had to take a booth. Our reservation was for 5 pm; shortly after opening so the restaurant was not yet busy.
