I have been going to Janine’s for 30 years. Tonight my family of 4 went and spent over 70 dollars on dinner, not including the ice cream. 3/4 of the way through my meal I needed a refill of my fountain coke. Every other restaurant or take out joint I have been to in my past 20 years of eating out, and working in, (I am a server) allows one refill of fountain drinks. You Already paid 3 bucks for the 10 cents worth of syrup, it’s the least that can be done so you can finish your meal. But not today, not Janine’s, the girl at the counters exact words were, no, I can’t do that. I was like are you sure? And she repeated, No I can’t. I just said okay and walked away completely shocked. Maybe it’s me, maybe I’m crazy or maybe Janine’s should train their employees on decent customer service and common sense, instead of turning me into a “Karen”. My meal alone was 19 bucks, I just needed half a soda to be able to finish it. Do Better Janine’s. It’s a small town. Choices matter.

Even though Janines Frostie is more than an hour away, the drive is always worthwhile.Excellent food and ice cream, amiable service, and regular live music make this a fantastic stop for foodies on a day trip or weekend getaway. Janines will provide a wonderful treat to cap off your day, whether it's after a bike ride, a Sunday drive, a stroll through Quabbin, or just a trip to have ice cream with the kids.The menu offers a good selection of seafood dishes in addition to the more unusual pot roast poutine, corn dogs, sassy sow dogs, and hamburgers and hot dogs.

Janines Frostee is a great food and ice cream restaurant set back off the main road. A very well organized clean and quiet location to relax at a picnic table enjoying a hot dog, hamburger, seafood plate or the many other food items offered. The staff is great and friendly. They have local bands and musicians from the area play on the stage under the canopies. The canopies are a great shelter from the rain. There's a small billboard area with local town brochures you can pick up to read. There are bathroom facilities too, ample parking and wheelchair accessible. They also sell sugar-free ice cream for diabetics. This is a must stop restaurant to visit or come for the ice cream. ? ?

$2 for lettuce and tomato on a Burger. Come on, that's ridiculous and I had fries. That were sitting under the heating lamp forever. They were discussingly gross and hard as a rock. And they would not take him back. Yeah, they wouldn't take him back.
