Stopped for lunch 2 weeks ago, place was empty and none of the food was fresh. The shrimp cocktail was the cheapest shrimp I’ve ever eaten. Clam Chowder soup, could’ve been just a can of cheap Campbell’s heated in the microwave. Quohogs were okay, also felt like they weren’t homemade and just heated up in a microwave. Barnacles seems like an accurate name.

Stopped in on a Thursday afternoon around 3-4 pm. The place was empty. Service was quick. Food was quick. Coleslaw is sweet. Clam strips were good, surprisingly. Clam cakes not so great, had almost no clams in them. The fish looked good. Prices were reasonable, portion size was generous.

Super pleasant experience ordering takeout. Food is excellent with a nice variety of seafood, salads and a few chicken and burger options. You don't need a flashy LED sign to have great seafood on Cranberry Highway.

As far as I'm concerned, you can't get any better than Barnacle Bill's for seafood. The world's Best - fish and chips!!!Ditto: the fried clams, and fisherman's platter. Clam cakes are absolutely wonderful.

Would have liked a cold beer. Also need some window shades. Definitely will dine there again.

The atmosphere is just a low key eatery but the seafood is the best around. A hidden gem.

A good fish n chip can make or break a joint. Its of course has to have fresh sweet flaky haddock with a crunchy crispy batter. Whether New England style thin or traditional English thick batter it can't be oily and most of all it has to stick to the fish when I break off a piece. If the batter is falls off the fish well that is a hot mess. I was very pleasantly surprised by this husband and wife owned restaurant who put the care love and especially talent into one of the best English style Fish n chips I've had...the fish was sweet, flaky but most of all the batter was crispy not oily and amazingly didn't fall off the fish when I broke off a piece by hand... and the french fried were so crispy that they made a snap when breaking them by hand. For 12 dollars I was very satisfied. Please put the kale soup on the menu this fall now that Lindsay's is gone. Wow. I will be back.Parking: plenty

I been coming to the canal since the ninties but just started exploring. What brought me here was looking for a replacement for the Portuguese kale soup that I would get down the road. I ordered the fish n chip. A good fish n chip can make or break a joint. Its of course has to have fresh sweet flakey haddock with a crunchy crispy batter. Tried this place a couple of times recently for fried seafood. Cold shoestring fries and small low quality portions. Overpriced tourist trap.

There clam cakes were so good nice and fluffy and tasty. The services was ok. Waiting time wasn't to bad.

Place looks like it's from the eighties and then on top of that they charge. A lot of money for really c***** fries. Like these things had no flavor it was like eating oiled card board but they have

We had a large group (20 people) and couldn’t find another place that could accommodate on Father’s Day. The staff at Barnacle Bills welcomed us in and gave us a great meal! Service was fantastic, food was very good. The restaurant is small but clean. Exterior could use some updating but don’t let it scare you away. Give this place a try!
