I hadn't been to a Persian restaurant in the Greater Boston area before. I am glad I went to this one. It is a typical hole in the wall, "blink and you'll miss it," outlet in Watertown. The food was lip smackingly fantastic. The chicken was grilled to perfection and succulent enough to melt in my mouth. I recommend the kabob plate, which comes with rice pilaf and grilled tomatoes (delicious), with a bottle of a carbonated buttermilk based drink to wash it down.

Very delicious kebabs specially kebab torsh. Also excellent customer service. I went there on Christmas Day with my family, a group of 6, and enjoyed the experience and hospitality. I will go back again. Can't recommend them enough. Very delicious Persian cuisine ??

We used to love this place. The best rice anywhere, and great food.We came today after a while, and was terribly disappointed. Could have been the time? (3:30 pm on a Wednesday)There were two gentlemen taking carr of the place. Not too happy to have us come in. All the food was pre-prepared and simply warmed up in the microwave.Rice was still cool, kebab was dry.If I wanted reheated food , would have ordered take-out, and saved myself the attitude.

We are lucky to have several persian restaurants in the Watertown area, but I do take out almost exclusively from Hafez because of the quality of the meat and cooking. I am very picky about meat in restaurants. The chicken kabob and beef soltani are my go-tos along with the shirazi salad. They a

Best mirza ghasemi in Boston— and their jujeh soltani is to die for. Only complaint is I wish they were on doordash so I could have it more often!!Dietary restrictions: Halal friendly

They never disappoint! Their food is always good when in restaurant.Though I had a large pickup order once for a party and I was not happy with that one, but in restaurant itself I’ve always had great food.

We had a great dining experience at Hafez restaurant. The Koobed kabob was absolutely delicious, and what made it even better was the warm and friendly staff. They generously offered us more rice without any extra charge. Great food and excellent hospitality – I highly recommend Hafez!

Best kabobs I've had..(chicken) in a quiet and cozy restaurant. Staff was very accommodating to our requests. Looking forward to coming back for more!

Had Three Baggalipolo with lamb on our way to Maine. One of the best we have ever had in the States. Very tender, yammy lamb and highly- flavored saffron rice with well-cooked fava beans. The seating area was small though and they didn’t play any music.

Good and flavorful food, friendly service and atmosphere. A bit more than I wanted to spend at 20 bucks a plate and a stingle grilled tomato not much of a side but we ended up full and fed. Try the kebab, obviously!

A different menu than previous Persian restaurant experiences. Ash E Reshteh appetizer was delicious. Beef and lamb kebobs were well prepared, tasty, and tender. The roasted tomato was delicious. New neighborhood choice
