This restaurant has been a fixture on Route 20 in Wayland since the 1930’s (formerly known as the ‘Red Coach Grill’)! My fiance and I have driven by countless times and always say how we would love to stop in one day for a meal, well, we finally did and after dinner agreed this was easily one of the best meals we’ve had so far in 2024!The inside of the restaurant is so warm and welcoming with dark wood and leather throughout and when we were seated by the fireplace, that is attended to all night, we were introduced to our server, Andrea, who has worked at the Coach Grill for 23 years! She shared some of the lore of the restaurant and guided us through the menu pointing out popular dishes and her favorites, many that are original recipes (like the corn pudding, Andrea told us that people come just for that side dish!)Here’s a rundown of our order:- NEGRONI - gin, campari, vermouth- MAINE LUNCH IPA- CALAMARI MILANO - fried or grilled, garlic, parmesan, basil aioli (order this ‘grilled’ - the calamari and peppers are put in a grill basket over charcoal and it is a gamechanger, I may never order fried calamari again!)- BEEF WELLINGTON - filet mignon, mushroom duxelles, sauce périgueux- BONE-IN RIBEYE with GREEN BEANS and CORN PUDDING- CISCO BREWERS GREY LADY- PROFITEROLES - pate a choux puff, ice cream, chocolate sauceThe servings were large and so delicious, we enjoyed our dinner at the restaurant and leftovers the next night! We were so relaxed sitting by the fire enjoying our drinks and food and already planning another visit. Coach Grill would be perfect for date night, a birthday celebration, or just a night you want a really great meal in a warm, cozy atmosphere!

Filet Mignon was delicious and others enjoyed the crab topped haddock. Chocolate cake and chocolate chip cookie were yummy.

As always, the food was fabulous and the atmosphere was perfect. We felt that service could have been a little more attentive. It seemed like forever sometimes to have our waitress come over. I don't know if they need to hire more waitstaff.

I love the coach grill!! However this was not a good night for them, steak was not good and under cooked not a good filet! Having said that the manager went above and beyond to try to make it right. I will still go back in a minute.

My family and I very much enjoyed our meal. It started with complimentary valet parking. The apps were tasty including the seafood tower. Mains included prime rib, filet mignon, Beef Wellington all prepared as we requested. Sides we're generous. Dessert was over the top. Wines we're plentiful and served with expertise. Highly recommended.

We sat at a high top table near the bar and thoroughly enjoyed our experience. Our server was very efficient, helpful and courteous. We both ordered the ribeye steak and it was absolutely delicious. I love the ambience that Coach grill has and would go back to dine happily.

The food and cocktails are always good here but it’s unreasonably expensive. $320 for 2 people and we split an entree. Lots of cocktails and appetizers but $320 is a little excessive.

Wow - the menu change is abrupt and unwelcome. No Coach Salad?! How is that gone? Chilean Sea Bass off the menu - but thankfully some leftover - For $62?!!!! More than my husband's steak? No pasta dishes? Our server, Alex, was incredible and went above and beyond to make my husband's birthday dinner special. As great as he was, the food was lackluster and too limited for us to return.

For the price, the sea bass and my husband's steak were just ok. Bass was extremely thin and largely skin. The appetizers and sides were good, as were the cocktails and desserts. Our server was pleasant, but stretched thin. Water glasses refilled once over two hour dinner.

Our party of four really enjoyed the well prepared food and professional service provided by our server, MacKenzie. Just be aware that the wedge salad is not one but two wedges - a meal in itself!

Coach Grill has long been my favorite restaurant for its consistently good quality food and service. Last night, however, the escargot was prepared in a strange way - I had expected the classic garlicky broth with the snails in their little shells. Don't try to cut corners please!

Dinner at Coach Grill is always excellent, thanks to Lisa.....she is amazing. I had the Shrimp fra diavolo and my wife had the pork chop. Both outstanding. Really a great place and Lisa helps to make the night and dinner really excellent. Thank you

The food was awesome! Best meal I've had in years. I loved the BIG order of fried calamari. The steak frites were very tasty. The butterscotch bread pudding was so good! I loved the way the food was presented. The ambiance was really nice. I had a wonderful, considerate, friendly waitress.
