“I went to this place twice and was able to try the medium, hot, extra hot, and reaper levels of spice. I love the taste of the chicken (ordered the sliders) and the fries are great as well. Service is good, very fast after ordering. I will say the Reaper lives up to it's reputation. After eating the extra hot which was the just right level of spice for me, I thought I could handle the Reaper. After a couple bites I knew this was bigger jump from the extra hot than I thought it would be. Ended up finishing it but was sweating and a little dizzy. Had to run to the Starbucks next door to order a latte to cool myself down. I like the challenge though may try again sometime :)“
“One of our favorite hot chicken sandwich restaurants. Quality is impeccably consistent every time we stop by: juicy yet extremely crispy chicken, well seasoned breading, and creamy yet tangy toppings. The blend of texture and taste in every bite is undeniably delicious. We recommend Hot Chix to every friend and colleague in the area, ever since Hot Chix’s soft opening. Cheers to enjoying the best chicken sandwich in Cambridge!“
“This Dave’s hot chicken location has an amazing atmosphere. I came here on a Tuesday afternoon looking for something quick to eat. The lady at the register took our order really quickly and our order came was ready in no time. I love the art on the walls which enhanced my dining experience. Overall this location is amazing and sanitary.“
“Excellent deep fried chicken in 7 levels of spiciness. Yes, level 7 had me in tears, so start at the midpoint and adjust from there. The bun, sauce, pickles, spiced aeoli for the fries all compliment the perfect crust and seasonings on the chicken. While product and service are stellar, the available seating fills up quickly, so take out is recommended during typical busy timesThe price point is on par for a premium chicken sandwich with fries. I haven't tried any of their other entrée offerings, so maybe someone should. I enjoyed what I tried and hope you do also.“
“Al's......THANK YOU!!!!!! I walked over today from my work, and I was hoping and praying the chicken salad recipe had not changed in the last 15 years. Al's chicken salad was my absolute favorite sub of all time, and I would always get it when I was working as a deckhand for Boston Harbor Cruises. I am SO thrilled to say, it is as delicious as I remembered!!! I love that they don't put celery/raw onions into the mix. It is perfect as it comes, and I had lettuce and tomato onto my roll. The bread is fresh, and the regular/small size is huge! Thank you to all of you for your consistency in flavor, ability to manage a crowd (although I fortunately got right in today, arriving on the earlier side), and your team's welcoming attitudes. Al's still is and always with be the GOAT!!“
“Randomly stopped in at lunch time as I was passing by. Food was terrific and service was friendly. I got the small plate (chicken) original style. It was served quickly. The chicken as well as the sides were very tasty. Amazing potato salad. Well priced meal at $14. I don’t get to that neighborhood often, but would stop again if I do. I didn’t get oysters, but they are Wellfleet’s - the best around.“
“Such an AWESOME chicken spot, probably the best we’ve had! We made the trip down on st Patrick’s day and watched them handle the rush and also get our meals out in a timely manner. Seems like they get a lot of online orders and they get them out equally as “
“A good spot to eat, in my opinion! Albeit, it is in a bit of a sketchy area but there isn't really much of a bother. The service is impeccable - extremely nice employees and great prices. My favorite is the buffalo chicken with fries, so good. Their fry season is amazing too. Overall a good eating spot for on the go. Eerily enough I found a prescription bottle on the ground during my last visit. Pros - Great Service Great Food Cons - Sketchy Area Dilapidated Ambiance“
“Door Dash delivers to the city (hot, cold, or frozen), which is a dangerous thing to have discovered! The pies are packed with big chunks of very good white meat chicken, so they’re more filling than most. They’re also not too salty. The portions are really solid, too. A pie that says it’s 6 servings fed us exactly 6 servings. They were wonderful when I called about a food allergy, too.“
“It's my offices favorite place for lunch for a reason!!! Absolutely the best subs downtown. We usually get small which is normal sized but if you want a whopping 16 inches go for the large for just $2 more. So reasonably priced and quick. Highly recommended getting your sandwich with the works (everything). Come and it may look empty but blink at noon and everyone and their mother shows up.“
“Surprisingly good for an austere shop. My daughter was singing her praises of it last week and dragged the rest of the family in. Her favorite is the beef and broccoli combo. My son enjoyed his shrimp fried rice and is not easily pleased. The portions are generous, and the vegetable lo mein I had was delightful and filling. We will be back again, I am sure!“
“Their salmon, greens or cabbage, peas and rice are top notch. They give very healthy portionsParking: I recommend parking in the church youwon't be there that long. Do not park behind the building in that parking area or risk being towed.“
“Just went by the Dedham location yesterday and picked up two chicken pot pies and a container of chicken salad. I must say first of all the gentlemen and I didn't catch his name was very helpful and very polite it was about 10:30 in the morning or when you guys opened your doors. I must say your chicken salad was/is delicious. I added some cashew nuts to it too. I'll be back!“
“Love love love all around great food great stuff easy going through drive thru ordering in the app and picking it up confirming the order when it s done very very convinient i always recommend it to my friend relatives awesone place to eat....“
“Man oh man oh man. I was craving Korean Fried Chicken and did not want to travel to Boston when we found this spot on Google. We ate these wings so fast we could not get a photo op in but we ordered the Hot Mala, Honey Garlic & Gangnam style wings & they were SO good I think I ate 4 wings of each flavor by myself.Definitely going back & will have photos. Warning: the wings may be addictive.“
“I see so many old reviews showing up here first so I feel compelled to make a more recent review (Sep. 2023). I've discovered this place recently as it's near my new workplace and eaten 4 or 5 times. Never had any issue so far with the cook quality; the chicken is always tender, crispy, juicy, and tasty. I prefer the spicy sandwiches; usually get the "KFC". There's not that much charm to a food court installation but the cashiers and cooks get the job done and make good food. The wait can be long if there's a lot of people, which is often the case around lunchtime. It's worth mentioning that aside from the sandwiches, the fries are quite great; it's one of the only places you can get thin cut fries these days and they serve a large portion hot and crispy. Good chicken sandwiches are hard to come by downtown so this has been a nice find for me and I recommend checking it out. A touch pricy but that's what you get in the middle of the city, at least the food quality is great in my experience.“
“Always a great experience at Raising Canes. The service was on point and the chicken is always fresh and steamy hot. If you are a party of two always get the 6 finger box and share - sub the Cole slaw for double fries and it's a love bird cheat code. This place is right across from the library.“
“Visiting Boston from CA and found this place on Yelp. Decided to check it out cuz it was close to the airport and I was starving.Got the 4 piece meal with mixed fried and grilled (or baked?) chicken. The fried pieces were thigh and drumstick. The grilled pieces were breast and wing. Both were really good. The fried chicken was a little on the salty side for me, but still enjoyable. All of the pieces were moist, juicy, and flavorful. I was impressed with the white meats being so good and not dry! For sides, I got fries and rice. Both were decent, nothing special. The roll was so good too! I could eat a bunch of those in one sitting.Really glad to have had the chance to check this place out. It was worth it, and I hope I get another chance on my future trips.“
“Staff is friendly enough. I never sit in to eat, but the vibes are pretty good; reminds me a bit of an underground mall with a secret chicken place.Main reason I wanted to leave a review is about the food. Most of the options are great. My only gripe is that the rice bowls with the stir-fried chicken tend to be... dry. It's not their fried chicken, but cubed up bite size chunks, so there's no breading to prevent the chicken from drying up during the stir-frying process. Flavor has been great so far, so not a bad option if you are into the firmer texture when eating chicken. Rice cakes are always on point and so is the fried chicken. Highly recommend everything! Except for the rice bowls/sides with stir-fried chicken (just not a fan of the dry texture).“
“Not sure where these bad reviews came from. This food is exactly what you’re looking for out of a fried chicken joint. The chicken is fantastic. I saw a few people say it was too salty. Perhaps, but I like well-seasoned food. Sides are great, especially the mac & cheese and fast food style fries. The prices are also very fair. A good-sized Buffalo chicken sandwich for $7.99 is a steal these days.“
