I just tried Johnny's pockets for the first time and it was absolutely delicious!! The pita pocket was homemade fluffy on the I side and the outside had a nice crunch to it. I ordered the chicken salad and it was simple, clean, and just good! I will definitely be eating here again.

I've gone by this store a million times... Who knew this unassuming little store had greatness inside. I was looking for local businesses to support and decide to order. Steak and cheese calzone was amazing. Super fresh and tasty. Will visit again and try other items. Highly recommended!

These guys go above and beyond their great pizza, for their customers.Ordered using Grubhub. Grubhub couldnt get it together to get a driver. These superheros offered and delivered our pie half an hour after they closed. They were unwilling to see us without our pizza, and for that we are eternally grateful. Also, they make a mean pizza.

It gives me great pleasure to inform all of you that I have found the perfect sandwich place. And it's practically next door to me. Johnnys Pockets is unassuming sandwich counter in the back of the Baker Street Market and Deli in the middle of a very residential neighborhood in West Roxbury. The selling point is that they make their own pita bread. and I'm telling you that they make some of the best sandwiches I've ever had. I started off with a tuna salad pocket. The ratio of mayonnaise to tuna was perfect. Not to gloppy, not to dry. Fresh lettuce, and a hint of onions that made it a joy. Not to mention the fresh Pita which was the icing on the cake. Next I got a calzone, chicken Parmesan. I thought there was a miss print when it said that there was fresh tomatoes and feta cheese in it as well as chicken tenders and mozzarella but I decided to go with it. Seriously, one of the best calzones I've ever eaten. It's the same dough as the pita and the saltiness of the feta really added something special! The marinara sauce that came with it was also the perfect mix of savory and fruity to enhance the experience. Today I expanded my repertoire to the steak bomb, and it did not disappoint. The steak was perfectly layered inside the pita, providing excellent distribution of all the fillings. These guys totally know what they're doing! If you are like me, and always on the hunt for a good sandwich, this is your place!

The food is awesome from the calzones to the pockets and the owner is extremely friendly as well as the staff. This place is a hidden gem when it comes to food.

Good food! But I was appalled when I saw my $6.50 French fries...I thought half of it fell out during delivery!! Maybe giving fries worth $6.50 would've been nice! It's just too expensive for the amount of fries actually received. See pic below.

Johnny's Pockets makes everything fresh and it clearly shows. Outstanding food, generous portions and great customer service. Dont let the location fool you!

Great spot in the market on Baker Street. Got a pocket and a Greek wrap and both were awesome. Hopefully more people will find out about this place because I can see how people would drive right past without realizing it is inside of the corner shop.
