What a great place! We found this while searching for vegan/vegetarian spots in the area. We got dolmas, a falafel pita wrap and a hummus and veggie pita wrap. The fillings were fresh, pita huge and crunchy and delicious, and the most smooth hummus ever. Need to come back here to try the impossible meatballs soon!

We stopped here for lunch for the first time yesterday, after doing an errand in the neighborhood. We ordered a chicken shawarma sandwich and a falafel sandwich. Wow! It was so good! The man who served us, Alan (sp?), was so helpful, and the nicest person! He asked us carefully what we wanted on our sandwiches, took careful note, and made it all to order, including frying the falafels. They were the best in town! Nice and crispy on the outside, tender on the inside with excellent flavor. Not dry.Alan at first offered hot sauce, which I declined, but I changed my mind , and I'm glad I got to try it. It's homemade, and delicious. Not simply a sauce, but more like a relish, with chopped red peppers and a mild heat. So tasty! It's been a long time since I've had a hot sauce that actually had flavor and didn't taste merely peppery.I had a bite of the shawarma as well, and again, the meat was so flavorful! Not to mention tender and juicy. The pita bread was high quality, soft and delicious. Unlike the thin, dry stuff that most places serve. We joked at the beginning that we came in because we liked the name, and Alan told us that he named the place after the song, which was mainly popularized by Artie Shaw. So we talked about jazz for a bit and learned about Sidney Bechet as well. Not bad for a little lunchtime chat! So, great food and a talented, wonderful chef. What's not to like? It's mostly a takeout place; the seating area is cramped and not too comfy. But, it was so much fun talking that we chose to stay. :-)Did I mention that we were given a dessert on the house just for being a first-time customer? We chose the baklava, which was less sweet than most, so YMMV on that. Overall, I can't wait to go back and try everything else!

It’s good for takeout, to be sure. I just wanted grape leaves but the owner convinced me to try the hummus and baba ganouj. I am glad I did, they were creamy and delicious. I’m not local but I’ll definitely revisit when I’m in the area. Very friendly owner.

What a pleasant break from the norm of shawarma and middle eastern grilled plates in Boston. There is SO MUCH variation to the cuisines of the region, but all we ever get i feel like is Greek, and hit-or-miss Lebanese-esque (which, when it's a hit, I do love), and those cuisines are pretty familiar and sadly most places are very cookie cutter. Not here! Stardust has everything I love about Greek and middle eastern food: fresh, not too oily, grilled meats, good rice (or flat bread), refreshing salads, and silky hummus, but it's a little different! "Inspired" even ;)I'll need to come back for some of their signature dishes, but can definitely recommend either chicken plate if you like the kind of meal I described. As others have mentioned, they are hefty! I would note that the spicy chicken is not at all "spicy", but it is "spiced" heavily, and comes with a hot pepper relish Service was fast when I can in around 1pm, and the (I'm assuming) owner hooked me up with some bread and baklava to try. So glad he did because they're both excellent! Bread is like a pita if it was fluffy, and the baklava tastes like nuts (not just sugar like at some other spots *cough*Boston Shawarma*cough*) and was a great end to lunch
