Chicken golden but not cooked enough inside. The Mac and cheese leaves an after taste. I wish the owner well. I’ll go back and I’ll try something different.

Minus for service!!I NEVER do this but, anyone looking for take out DO NOT call Yellowbird in West Roxbury!! Whoever answers the phone is so rude it’s unbelievable. I tried to fix an order I made online and was told they were to busy to look for it and were just making all of the food in the que. Then continued to tell me my order wasn’t there even tho I was charged(it’s on my account statement) and that to get a refund I needed to “call the company” even though it was made on THEIR WEBSITE!! Never again! I remember the food being good but obviously service has changed.

Not sure where these bad reviews came from. This food is exactly what you’re looking for out of a fried chicken joint. The chicken is fantastic. I saw a few people say it was too salty. Perhaps, but I like well-seasoned food. Sides are great, especially the mac & cheese and fast food style fries. The prices are also very fair. A good-sized Buffalo chicken sandwich for $7.99 is a steal these days.

Their quickest menu items are like the best KFC items, only cooked to order, so much tastier and fresher, even if the wait is a little longer. Their dinners are kind of like Boston Market fare, very comparable. If you select carefully among the side dishes, you will have a very decent meal. Love the "bird's nest" fries, and the customized grilled chicken sandwiches (fresh onion & tomato, chipotle mayo). Greens and sweet potato are good sides. Locally-owned, so they seem to care a bit more. 98% take-out: I've never seen anyone sitting and eating inside, though that is possible.

The owner is super nice but the food is so so. The mac and cheese was good. The potato salad and cornbread were not bad. Coleslaw was watery. The chicken was salty and dry. I tried making crispy chicken salad out of the boneless wings and tenders to salvage what I paid for but just ended up throwing everything away. Place smells like old grease and that is how the chicken tastes as well. Honestly KFC on Washington Street has better tenders. Place could use a refresh or cleaning.
19.99 for a whole chicken? Bigger ones rotisserie chickens at Costco 4.99? Granted he can't sell for 4.99 , but 14.99 if more flavors than Costco? But quality and size and rotisserie flavor at Costco very good. Maybe buy hot sides at KFC and a Costco chicken and good under Brandon inflation

That chicken was fresh, the variety of option in sauces and their bird nest fries are good. I don’t even like sweet potatoe. They make it good here. The owner is a nice guy.

I was disappointed, pictures online are deceiving. Chicken was cooked in burnt oil and salty/garlicky. We didn’t get the sauce we ordered on the chicken, condiments were nearly dried up in the container. The “birds nest” variety of fries had no variety to it mostly regular fries. I’ll never order from this establishment again.

Small place, no seating, great food. The chicken is the best. THE BEST JERRY! Birdsnest fries are awesome too. I definitely recommend this place!

My Experience here at yellow Bird is Great ?? all the time I've been riding around trying to find some good chicken and Yellow Bird was Right in my face they have the Differencesauces for the chicken there are also side like potato salad and more loll ? I can't name nothing else that's all I get. But check them out he does a whole chicken. Half of chicken. Family Dinners. Sandwiches and more. Check him out.
