Rubber is the word of choice. No utensils for my take out which was supposed to be delivery (as per my Google search) then at check out I tipped thinking it was a delivery to find out I had to go pick it up. When I was eating, a co-worker was overlooking me and said (in reference to my steak) “That cow died 10 years ago”. It was thin like 5 pieces of paper and over cooked/broiled or whatever they did. I paid 1/3 of $100 for this meal.

The food and service is not that good! They served burnt chips 2 times. And quality of Enchiladas is really bad. They didn’t serve water as well.

34 dollaridoos for a burrito with no beans or cheese poorly backed, and a quesadilla with no vegetables, like even onion. Pretty sad to think of the Mexican hole in the walls or food trucks i have known that did creama, heavily seasoned and shredded meats, out of this world hot sauces ect, all for eight bucks a plate. Also took me forever to get someone to notice me when picking up my food.

Ordered delivery and it was awful. Got a salad it didn't come with any dressing and it literally had 1/2 cup of water that I had to strain. Chicken was very thin and didn't even look like chicken.We also got a fajita trio. They didn't include fajita shells. Very few peppers and onions too.$50 for a soggy salad and a fajita trio with no fajita shells.

website says they open at 11am. we get there at 11:15, TVs and lights on, but door locked. no one even comes to the door when we knock even though we seem them shadily walking in the back. really disappointing. I used to love this place.

We have been to Mexicali Cantina several times (at least 4) and have always had an excellent experience. We have not been for some time, however, and yesterday's visit left much to be desired. We went for Taco Tuesday, which in the past was $1.00 tacos of a high caliber. The price has increased to $5.00 for 3, which I still consider to be extremely reasonable! However, the quality has really declined, and barbacoa tacos are no longer included in the special. I would rather they make it $10 for 3 and keep the quality and the choices as before. In addition, we order a side of rice each. We waited an unusually long time for the food to come out, despite the restaurant being nearly empty. When it arrived, it was cold! We had to send the rice back, and the microwaved rice we got back was barely edible. The only redeeming aspect of our visit were the margaritas. However, even that was a problem because I asked for sugar on the rim, the waiter confirmed it with me, and he made it with salt. (We sat at the bar, so I know he made it.) I'm not sure I'll be going back;, and if I do, it certainly won't be for Taco Tuesday.

We usually have a great time when the male bartender is on… whoever it was tonight she was not up to par… she did not check on us, check on our drinks… also didn’t ask us if we were enjoying our food.. I left food on my plate she didn’t even notice I barely touched my food which was disgusting! Who wants to eat cold food… didn’t taste fresh… this evening was not like all the other times when we stopped in.

Shot in the dark since my usual Mexican place was overly crowded.Best micheladas I’ve ever had. The bar lady made the beverages incredible.The server Darl. Was very attentive. Very cordial.Genuinely nice.The food was incredible.The steak was cooked perfectly and not dry.Very happy this just might be my go to from now on out.I’m definitely going back.

Alex is always so personable and welcoming. He remembers you and your order and always makes sure you have a drink in hand. This is the best Mexicali location by far!

We visited on a Friday and the place wasn't busy, the servers were very nice and quick, the food was also very quick to get to the table. We had the chicken tortilla soup and it was very nice but had very little chicken, I also wish that they offer a bigger size for soup to have as a entree.

The food was excellent however we had to look for and ask our waiter to refill the chips & salsa several times while we waited and noticed our food took longer then others, could be what we ordered and they ran out of my favorite dessert, flan. Very busy. It would have been OK had our waiter looked busy, but he was chit chatting a lot in front of the food pick-up area.
