The new ownership ruined this place. Horrible food, I used to love it here

There's something seriously wrong with this place now. We came here for brunch today and I'm not exaggerating... it's probably the worst dining experience I've ever had. We waited for almost 2 hours for our food. They messed up our order in all kinds of ways. They kept forgetting about our drinks. They didn't have coffee cups. They gave us eggo instead of Belgium waffles. Canned corn beef hash... terrible food... the list goes on and on... They had 2 teenage servers who didn't know what they were doing (not their fault). Someone said in another comment, this place needs new/better leadership. Terribly, terribly managed. Stay away.

Unfortunately didn’t even get to try the food cuz no one was working to greet us or even take our order. They were all laughing in the back room together while we sat awkwardly at our table for a while and then left

Came in on a weekday for a post gym late breakfast. Service was very quick, and our server was nice. I decided to go with the Irish omelet so I could get my corn beef hash trial. On the plus side the corned beef hash I could tell was not from a can, but the bad news it was definitely on one of my least favorite I ever had. Before I dive deeper into that, the english muffin was good, skillet grilled which is a nice touch. And the home fries were actually really good. In general from those and probably if I had any other omelet I probably would have had a higher review. My issue was just with the corned beef. Not sure what caused the issue was, but it just tasted very off. If anything it was like the meat had been overcooked and then just additionally cooked in the omelet made it an down note. I was able to eat it, but it was definitely not great. I would give them another try eventually, and maybe try the corned beef not in an omelet to see if it was just a one-off, or this is normal for them.

We used to order hear all the time and always got a great value for the price. Well times have changed, because I always used to order the Chef salad which while it cost $13 was huge, almost to big to eat in one sitting. Now, the Chef salad is still $13 but is one 3rd of the size, they did not give us any dressings and was not a good value at all. Co-worker ordered the chicken Parm which is supposed to come on a sub roll but instead came on 2 pieces of thin sliced white bread that were tiny. Needless to say, no more going to the Bistro for lunch anymore. Liked when the old owners were there, I never felt like I was getting ripped off.

I warn anyone who reads this review, be prepared to spend over an hour and at least 45 minutes till you get your food. This place is in dire need of leadership. The staff on the floor is very young without much experience. I decided to try The Bistro for a second time, after being forgotten about while waiting to eat outside the first time. There aren't many options in the Westborough area for a real good breakfast/dining experience that's better than cooking at home. The first time I went, I sat outside and was forgotten about. After being seated/told I can sit where I wanted, I said ok I will sit outside. It took 20 minutes until I decided to get up and leave. Round 2 I decided to sit inside and it took 20 minutes to get a menu. The restaurant was busy with only a few open tables. With 10 tables, it's not an excuse to wait 20 minutes for a menu. After getting my menu it took about another 10 minutes for someone to take my order. After ordering it took about 20 minutes to get my food. A 50 minute process. I ordered eggs Benedict and the ham was as thick as a filet Mignon. I have no idea what on earth that ham was, but I think it was spam from the can, and the cook decided to cut it in half, half for one English muffin and half for the other. The prices were affordable which got 2 stars. I can understand the quality you get for this type of price, but in my opinion it's unacceptable. Ive seen far better for another 10 minutes or even 1 minute down the road at the other diners. My question is, where is the owner? Who is in charge? who is the leader? I don't think the owner cares at all about their restaurant and it's depressing. Please go in and try your food. I think the reason the owner isn't there is because they would rather eat and dine somewhere else. Next time I will make my own eggs Benedict, as it's far superior and half the price. Where is the owner? You must be out there somewhere... read your reviews. I would dream of opening a diner with this location.

Filthy bathrooms, coffee was fine, waitress was nice but the chef and other employees were just hanging around the counter while the place in dire need of cleaning.

The Bistro used to be good, but has gone downhill. We order here from time to time, but we have realized the quality, food and portions have gone down. The food is still decent, but not as good as it used to be.

I tried to eat here today. The sign on the door said open. I could see tables with customers through the windows. The door was locked. Another customer knocked on the door several times with no response. I called the restaurant several times before giving up. They never answered the phone. I was quite disappointed as I had thought it would be a nice treat.

Lots of promise, but slow beyond belief currently.

We enjoyed our time here. The service was great and the food was good overall. Unlimited coffee refills, coffee was fine. They have half and half rather than creamer. Prices are standard and our bill was about $60 for two ppl ordering two plates each (eggs & waffles/FT).. I had poached eggs which were ordered medium but given undercooked. Besides that, everything was basically on point.

We used to go here all the time prepandemic with our daughter. It was wonderful. What happened? They were having a full kitchen and server meltdown. In the kitchen, they kept making the wrong type of Benedict for our table then giving it to other tables after a long discussion. You could hear the manager yelling about food sitting. My food, a basic eggs, bacon, and potatoes had ice cold eggs and piping hot potatoes. It's a shame. It was a good place.
