Recently visited this beautiful vineyard for a tour and tasting. Started with a wine tasting, there were 5 to go through and each was wonderful and unique. Followed by the tour which included seeing where the grapes are grown, harvested, bottled, and stored. We learned a lot about the history of the vineyard and family that founded this lovely farm! The views were beautiful and the staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Answered any and all questions we had! There is a gift shop where you can purchase apparel, wine, and other local products made on site. Left with a few goodies to take home. Definitely a perfect spot for a girls day!

Great cool-weather outdoor fire pits and seasonal hayride appropriate for kids too. I miss the days that you could show up without reservations but happy for the winery success!!

This was the first vineyard I've gone to north if virginia and I'm really impressed. The whites were nice and crisp, great fruity Jose, but not sweet, just the way we like them. We'll definitely be back in the summer!

Nice people. Nice place

The younger gentlemen with the hat on Saturday performing the wine tastings was incredibly standoffish. He would pour the tasting without giving any indication of tasting notes, and not even the name of the wine, uh, what? The younger lady (when they switched from cashier to tasting positions) on the other hand was fantastic. She gave better pours, explained the varietal, and was just plain pleasant. Been a wine club member for more then 4 years now and seriously considering cancelling it because of that standoffish employee .

We are just so fond of this vineyard! For years, Mark has lead our tasting before we go to the fire pits. But this year we went on a hayride (such beautiful views of the grounds) and Jack delighted us in the tasting room with his passion, knowledge, and excellent story telling. Our annual wine club retreat was a delight this year, looking forward to our next visit.

This place has huge potential but unfortunately missed on major points. We will not return with the main reason being the wine was hit or miss.First suggestion... signage! You cannot read the main sign on the road unless you pull in the driveway. Our GPS was having trouble with the address, and we drove right by even after seeing the sign and thinking "huh, I wonder if that's it." It's nice to give someone a job pointing where people should park, but signage would help too. When we got to the house/barn area there was no indication of where to go. 'Are they serving in the barn? Do we go through that door?' We figured that out and got the rest by asking the person in the gift shop.We chose to go upstairs for a wine flight. The building, view and ambiance were all very nice. Staff was pleasant and the presentation of the wine glasses on a serving platter was intriguing. Unfortunately, the white wines were all cool-ish but not cold. That's a huge turn-off for us. The bouquet of several of the wines was... well, not good. I ordered a glass of the red and that was OK. We ended up leaving 3 of the white wines unfinished. With tip, we were just at $50.

Beautiful site, helpful staff, fun and interesting wines to taste! The pizzas, and fries, are excellent, too! Stay a while and enjoy this lovely vineyard.

We love this little gem of a winery with a beautiful, sprawling state with fully mature vines, great views, and relaxed vibes. The location itself is beautiful, has lots of room to spread out and plenty of outdoor seating. Enjoy some yummy, small plates, alfresco, and taking the cool breezes. The wines tend to focus on white varietals, but give off wonderful citrus and buttery notes, with a focus on apple and pear notes. As for food, the flatbreads are excellent. The farmers box has lots of fresh options. The salads are fresh and have a hand cut field, and the Caprese sandwich is mouthwatering. Service is friendly and prompt, and they are happy to bring your tasting flights directly to you. A great place to kill a few hours on a relaxing, sunny afternoon. Highly recommend a visit.

5 stars for the grounds, the wine (itself) and the views! The staff is mostly awesome and knowledgeable, funny and friendly, helpful and eager to talk wine. There are a couple of older service people who drip with crankiness and eye rolls. Avoid those people and wait for someone who will greet you with a smile.5 stars for cleanliness as most of the staff kept the place immaculate including the restroom. 5 stars for the gardens! Amazing flowers and beautiful landscaping! See pics!!The white wines are pretty great. The reds feel young still but show promise. Excellent rose' (not overly sweet! And perfect crispness!) and 5 dogs is one of my favorite blended wines!1 star for the store selection as they do not have any woman's cut shirts or v-necks. Mostly boxy man's T-shirts and just because there's a few that are brightly colored (and not good colors either) doesn't make them cut for a woman's shape.1 star for the "no outside food or drink" policy because there's a food truck on site. The prices are ridiculous expensive ($9 for a tablespoon of hummus and a handful of pita chips), the food truck was out of most everything on the menu, and flatbreads and paninis were the only items available. Hard pass. Because of this we got 1 glass of wine each and sat for a few minutes providing pets to a beautiful grounds kitty. (5 stars for the feline). The inside fridge was empty as well (cheese, meats) and no snacks (nuts, crackers) were available. The chocolate was $5 a bar. Also no cold water bottles available which felt surreal at a vineyard.1 star for the plastic cup our wine was served in - bring your own glass if you hate drinking cold wine out of warm plastic flimsy cups. We also waited quite a while inside to receive our wines and my hands were full. So opening the door was a challenge but thanks, I got it...don't step out from behind the counter to open the heavy door while my hands are full and I'm using my feet and hips to bump the heavy door open.Had we been able to bring a picnic and our dog (on a leash) we would have invited friends, stayed for the afternoon, bought a couple bottles for the sunset and then bought more to take home. Other than the membership prices, it feels like the little perks have been whittled away - no deals on a tasting flight ($25) or a glass ($8+) and no credits towards final purchases. There's really only 1 wine that I do not care for (like at all!) and it was in this quarter's wine selection. It depends on who helps you at the register - I've been told no exchanges whatsoever in the past. (Which has been off putting to have to bring home a wine I don't like) and this time 5 stars to the lovely young lady who happily exchanged the wine for one I loved and helped me with a smile and "it's fine, happy to help" and she makes membership worth it. The lady behind her had such a "I wouldn't do that" sour way about her. Just wait for the customer service folks who greet you with happiness - they are the joys of the place. As it is, it's an eat before you come here but the wines are pretty great! We do love coming here but 1) skip the pricey flights and go straight to a glass 2) bring your own glass.

The customer service provided by the bartenders under the tent was off putting. They made snarky comments and acted like they did not want to be there. I'm in the service industry myself and understand they probably deal with some pretentious people, but it's just a shame because the wine & views were good here. Also they might want to use bigger plastic cups seeing how they were filled to the brim and walking away back to your spot was difficult.

Overall, our visit was "ok". It has been about 4 years since we've been here. The wines are different, and not my favorite. It doesn't mean they're bad, they just weren't something I'd drink. The tasting was a struggle. The conversation felt forced, and I felt as if the person who was doing the tasting wished they were somewhere else. The outdoor venue is absolutely beautiful, and the offering of food trucks was good.

It’s a great place to go for a glass of wine. Unfortunately, they don’t sell wine by the bottle to enjoy on their property and they serve the wine in little plastic cups. They always have a food truck on property now, so they ask that no outside food be brought in which is also a shame.

Beautiful day for a wine tasting! All 5 were decent in their own way! Met some really cool people!
