“I had a wonderful breakfast experience at Rox Diner. The place was cozy and inviting, with a friendly staff and a great menu. I ordered the South Beach omelette, which was made with egg whites, spinach, tomato, and Swiss cheese. It came with fresh fruit and organic yogurt and granola instead of home fries and toast. It was light, fluffy, and delicious. My friend had the Flatiron Benny, which was a huge portion of steak, eggs, and hollandaise sauce. He said it was tender, juicy, and satisfying. The coffee was hot and strong, and the service was fast and attentive. We both agreed that Rox Diner is one of the best breakfast spots in the area, and we can't wait to come back and try more dishes. Almost all bar seating with 70s-80s style stools and a few two person high-tops. Lots of photos of regular customers, sponsored youth sports teams, and celebrities who've visited. Tons of laminated pics of food and chalk/white board style listing of items. Service: Quick. Actually very quick. Sometimes are some barking of orders and is a fast-paced show to see. They definitely have their method and it works. Very customer-friendly. Lots of people and local blue collar workers showing up for pick-up, plenty of first-name basis customers. Food: Unassuming and just good. It's what you'd want from a diner. Not a hipster nuevo take on a diner. Just classic. The breakfast combos are great. The omelets nice. Food sometimes not giant portions but the prices are low! Coffee is fine. Price: Also stuck in a cheaper (simpler?) time. A big draw when considering what you get for the mulah. “The decir is a little dated, but not raggedy at all. We were seated immediately. The staff was professional and polite. I enjoyed my veggie pizza and my husband's onion rings. The total for 3 people was $35. Would we do this again, yes. This is definitely a family restaurant. I have a bias for local, neighborhood restaurants, and the Pleasant Cafe is definitely in that category. “Do yourself a favor and get the Irish Breakfast plate at Martin’s. It’s absolutely delicious and probably the best breakfast dish that I’ve ever had. Eggs cooked to perfection, which by itself is a rare find. The black and white pudding was packed with flavor, really delicious. The sausages were fantastic. “Love Beantown, Love Pam, and all the wait staff, However the last time we were there (four Adult women) I asked for a Pickle to be added to my order and was told NO I CAN'T give you a pickle, I said I am happy to pay for it, No I was told, we aren't allowed! Can you beat that! How frugal can Beantown be, a slice of pickle!?! What happened to the Customer satisfaction? I and my party were all dismayed by this. The hash was good flavor-wise but I wish the beef was portioned a little smaller so it could blend better. The eggs were solid but eggs are pretty solid everywhere. 7.5/10. Ambiance: So cute and there are just such great vibes here! The staff is very friends and it's a lovely local place. We went on a weekend and it was packed so you know it's reliable 8.5/10. Price: Pricing is pretty standard for a brunch place. My meal was about $15 and I was decently full 8/10. Would definitely go ahead if I'm in the area!“
