We were in the area vacationing. It was late on a Sunday night, well 8pm and the first 2 places we went to had closed their kitchen. We found this cute little restaurant and decided to give it a try. The food was clearly authentic. My husband had the chicken parmigiana and said it was very good. I had the ravioli for the day that was mushroom ravioli in a Alfredo sauce. It was very good as well! I had a yummy peach Bellini too. Our waiter told us this was their last night open as the owner has sold the restaurant and there will be a new menu and owner soon. The owner is retiring. They have us 2 yummy homemade desserts to go for free as well! I hope the new owners are as friendly and successful as this owner is because we had a great experience and it appeared every table their was have the same experience as well. Best wishes on her retirement!!!

Comfortable, cozy, family feeling. Authentic Italian. Excellent dishes, especially the veal scallopini and veal piccata. Good wine selection. My new favorite Italian restaurant. But.... Maria and Fortunate are moving on. Good luck to them! Hopefully the new owners will be great hosts and cooks too!

The menu is basic Italian dishes, not a wide variety offered. Our party of five each loved what they ordered! Best marinara and marsala sauces! Homemade desserts! We will be regulars there!

I've eaten in and taken out and both experiences were great. I loved the gnocchi, and pizza that we got. My Mom has a gluten allergy, and while they don't have gluten-free pizza they do have gluten-free pasta and dishes. They were very accommodating and were able to swap out things when needed. The service was excellent too, eating in is very relaxing, with no rush. The take-out was quick, about 15 minutes for a pizza.

I recently ordered the clams on spaghetti by delivery to my home. The dish and the service were both excellent. It arrived exactly when I was told it would and was still warm. It was tasty, and the clams were fresh and cooked perfectly. The pasta was al dente. It was a great choice!

My parents and I came in for an early dinner and chose Fortunato's due to its proximity to our accommodations. Although we didn't have reservations, we were seated promptly. Service was great. My parents wanted a chicken Caesar salad but due to a seafood allergy could not have the anchovy dressing. The restaurant accommodated by providing oil & vinegar on the side. I had the cavatelli chicken pesto, which was delicious. The pasta was cooked well, with a hot, creamy and tasty pesto sauce, and the chicken was moist and tender. Would come here again when next in the area.

What a gem! We don't live close by, but we made a point to come back to this restaurant after 2.5 years of avoiding indoor places, because we remember the food being absolutely amazing. It didn't disappoint! The pasta was fresh, the sauces were delicious and the desserts were yummy. After taking his first bite of his lobster ravioli, my son said it was totally worth the wait! To top it all off, the family who owns the restaurant and takes care of the customers is absolutely delightful. Highly recommend...

I visited this restaurant while passing through town. I read the reviews and gave it a chance. The food was absolutely amazing. The gravy's are incredibly authentic, the pasta is cooked to perfection. I highly recommend. Service was welcoming.

Nice people who I'm sure make good food when they make what's been ordered. My party of 7 put in orders for 3 entrees, and 2 of the entrees were wrong! This was particularly unfortunate when the vegetarian calzone we ordered came overflowing with sausage. To make not-great things much worse, when we pointed to the sausage in the calzone, we were angrily told that "it is listen on the menu as containing sausage." We then asked to see a menu so we could clarify the issue. After our server looked at the menu, he recognized that, in fact, our order was not listed as containing sausage. I'm sure they were short staffed, and the food that eventually arrived was ok (not great though). All in all, a very disappointing outing for a recent grad! If you choose to go, I hope things go better for you--and stay away for the veggie calzone!

The Eggplant Parm is the absolute best I have ever tasted. Seriously, I would go there just for the Eggplant! Yummy garlic focaccia, broccoli in EVOO. Decent wine. Mom & son who run the restaurant are nice. Good value!

This is clearly a local favorite. Folks that come here are middle aged mostly white but seem to have a rapport with the owner. It's a good thing! We should collectively support our local businesses and this one makes it easy! The bread is delicious and comes as a starter. Dinner meals are good portions and the sauce makes the meal. I had a chicken parm -- the chicken was a bit over cooked and not crispy enough for my liking but the overall meal was an 8/10

Sausage Rabe fritters with no Sausage. Seemed like frozen food you'd buy at market. Meatball was also disappointing, served lukewarm and so perfectly smooth and round that it also tasted like frozen food you'd get at market. Chicken marsala had scallons on it which doesn't belong on dish. Sauce lacked clean marsala taste. Shrimp scampi served and looked like plan pasta w boiled shrimp on it. Also lacking any flavor of garlic, oil , shallots. I do cook itailan food and worked in itailan restaurants this place does not bring it when it comes to itailan food.

What a wonderful little mom/pop restaurant! We were in town for the Boston Marathon and needed to find a place to carbo load. Due to miscommunication with our friends, we had to find a restaurant last minute. I found this place on Opentable and easily made a reservation for 5. A very cute restaurant with a little bit of everything available. Very affordable too. Wait staff was great.

Traveled for Boston Marathon and this place was 2 miles from hotel (super convenient). We got a table right away! Looks like it's a family restaurant so mother and son are taking care of customers and they were very efficient and nice! I got the pasta with marinara sauce and it was delish!! Definitely recommend it!

Enjoyed a great dinner tonight. No reservation. Seated at the bar with my 20 year old son. Started with sausage/rabe fritters, son had sausage and mushroom pizza and I had the Veal Milanese. Food was fantastic. The place was busy and service was a little slow but friendly and professional. This will be my “go to” Italian restaurant. Full and happy!!!
