My wife and I had eaten at the 99 about 30 - 40 in our lives, but had not been there in about 2 - 3 years. Major disappointment. The service was terrible and the food was terrible.. It was 4:00 pm and the restaurant was empty but it still took 40 minutes to get two disgusting meals. The orders were wrong. The baked haddock was burnt and the salad was not fit for a rabbit. Do yourself a favor and stay away. The manager did say we did not have to pay. I wasn't planning on paying!!!!

Honestly the most I can say was the food wasn't terrible. But the service was, I was horrified by the number of mistakes made early on, and it didn't improve. We lacked utensils, I ended up drinking from plastic because a glass of just water was too complicated, and the parties around us had similar mistakes made and had to send their food back.I liked the chowder alright but the burger was probably the worst I've had in my life. It was their "all star" and the meat itself was just awful, charred on the outside and too pink on the inside. The special sauce was weird, the bacon was hard as a rock, and I got the inside (middle) of the onion slice. Like did you even try to make it good?I'm not sure if I'll ever go back despite a previously good takeout experience, but I do sincerely hope the server we had gets better or leaves. Like, terse and rude by the end on top of just sucking at her job. Christ. 2/10 if I could but I don't want to leave just 1 star. It wasn't the worst ever...

Food was delicious. The waitress (Dorothy) was extremely rude tho. She had a nasty attitude and didn’t offer us refills or dessert. She didn’t even bother bringing us our food, another waitress brought it to us. We ordered some food to take home as well. She was shaking the bag of food in my fiancé’s face and I was flabbergasted because I have never experienced such an unpleasant server.

This place is great, but the new bartender/server Caitlin sends the ambiance into the stratosphere. She is the most attentive, conversational, and entertaining bartender I have ever interacted with. To top it off, she is remarkably good-looking. You should definitely come here and pay a visit for an unforgettable experience. That is, if you have any taste whatsoever!
Placed an order for bacon cheeseburger no pickles and Mac and cheese I paid for that plus tip.I received a plain burger with pickles no bacon.I paid 20.00 dollars plus cash tip.I will be there tomorrow to show you the video of what I received.I guess I should have checked my food but obviously I trust that what I ordered is what I would receive.I went in and ordered not from an app.This is sad.

I pulled into the takeout area last night was so sick we tried to go in but I just couldn’t! There was a boy taking out takeout to the car next to me I flagged him over asking how do I order through the internet he said he could take our order he did he was so efficient and just genuinely kind what a great asset to the 99 I’m embarrassed I didn’t get his name but he made a bad experience for me and my daughter so so great!!!

Big disappointment.... Since the covid b.s. started and 99s took things off the menu it's not been the same. Potatoe skins are horrible now. Chicken parm gross now. The chicken pot pie went down hill as well. Its a shame this use to be a terrific family restaurant with great food. Now it's horrible food.
