Update on my Yelp review: I recommend the Bean Counter. Today, I went to the recently remodeled Bean Counter on Highland Street. It looks very clean, modern, and sophisticated. I had their Magic Cookie bar; it tasted fresh and delicious. I will definitely be coming back.
Best pastries around! The cinnamon twist and croissant reminds me of Paris. So flaky and incredibly good. They also have some very yummy gluten free choices that my daughter had. They were incredibly moist and flavorful. It's a definite must every time I visit from out of town.

It's a little dessert haven. I walked in on a Friday afternoon just after 4PM. The clean white walls and the smell of fresh coffee still lingered. At the entrance and around the corner from the counter, there's a hidden seating area with tables lined up. Behind the glass, they have different croissants, crumbs and cupcakes.
