Awesome food every time I go. Check it out as soon as you can. They have limited hours but it is well worth making arrangements to get there. The egg rolls, seafood, and chicken are all amazing. Get extra duck sauce! Also, be sure to check out the history of the company and its founders while you are there. It is an amazing story of perseverance in the face of adversity.

I read lots of fish and chip suggestions on Facebook. Seemed most favored eggroll lady or steves pizza. I've had steves; great fish terrible chips. Tried aggroll lady years ago (10+), and it tasted like old beer so i jadnt been back. We tried eggroll lady's platter, and fish and chips. Everything in platter was either over battered or over cooked and tasted like old oil. The fish was cooked well, battery was great, but it was a very thin piece of fish and not near the size you get at steves. The fries were equally as bad as steves. Lastly was the 25min wait turned into over and hour. 40 minutes sitting in my car after pick up time. Not a huge deal on a Friday during lent but better estimate would have been appreciated. I also don't get the hype on the egg rolls. Small, and over cooked every time I've gotten them.

This place has the best fish and chips. I will not go anywhere else to buy my fish and chips. I’ll be trying their egg rolls next.

Just stop reading this and go here...NOW. This place was glorious. The food, the price, the freshness, it's all here.I heard about rave reviews, but didn't have a chance to visit this place until now.Be warned: The portions are HUGE. I got the Shack Seafood Platter (which can easily feed 4 people), the Boneless Chicken Tender Plate (it can feed 2 people), and 5 eggrolls.I had leftovers that lasted for days, and the price is VERY reasonable. The staff is very nice and very personable. Just know that there are only 3 parking spaces available and only 2 tables inside, so I would recommend getting takeout.Highly recommended!

This mom and pop family shop is *the* best fish and chips in the city (and for miles around). They make their own tartar sauce and kimchi with yummy family recipes! They also have two types of breading for the fried ? goodies. They off a variety of seafood ? ? ? to fry and of course onion rings. Don't expect to get your order earlier because you called ahead. These folks (for better or worse) are old school and will not start your order until you pay in person. They will however take your order and reserve your spot when you arrive with a buzzer so you can wait in the car.The atmosphere is lacking because it's a shack...but the food is too good to pass. This is one of the top take out spots in the greater area. ***Also if you go to the local bar next door, they will bring it in there to you. Now that's customer service. I recommend it!Vegetarian options: Mostly onion rings and kimchi cabbage salad. Fries ? too

I drove up to Worcester from Providence for a few things, including picking up dinner for me and my husband from the this restaurant. We watched their presentation on the local Phantom Gourmet TV show a few weeks ago, and I figured I would get some takeout from her business before returning home. She did NOT disappoint! I ordered the Egg Roll Lady's Platter, and I was given a takeout container bursting with the goodies. I brought it home and we LOVED it! Although everything was fried, it was fried beautifully, expertly seasoned and left us enough for a second helping the next day. HIGHLY recommended!!

We had heard about this place through the Phantom Gourmet TV special and made a trip out to Worcester to give it a try. Having already had lunch earlier in the day, we decided to just get a quick snack and ordered the 5 egg rolls for $7.49.We asked for an extra duck sauce for 50 cents, but they gave it to us for free! When we got back to the car to eat our snack, we also noticed that they gave us the 5 egg rolls, but they also threw in 2 pieces of fried chicken and 1 crab rangoon for free as well. It smelled so good that we had to try them before driving away, and they were delicious:Egg Rolls: These are really kind of like spring rolls instead, but the article inside explains why they were called egg rolls. They are kind of a mix between Chinese and Vietnamese spring rolls, and they were filled with a meat mince, carrots, cabbage, and glass noodles. I HIGHLY recommend eating them fresh when you get them - the outer shell was so nice and crispy. It was actually flaky to some degree, and the piping hot insides mixed with the duck sauce (I think they use cinnamon in it) was delicious!Crab Rangoons: These were interesting - they were folded like a ravioli almost and the filling was a sweeter cream cheese than we were used to, but still yummy!Chicken Fingers: We only had 2 pieces (for free!) in this order, but they were still nice and juicy. The batter is very good.SO we had this quick snack and then realized we liked it so much that we then went right back inside and ordered a full dinner for the family. The Egg Roll Lady's husband was very nice and spoke to us while we waited for our food - he told us all about his family, how he left Vietnam and the journey he took to end up in Massachusetts. He was incredibly personable and friendly - we were a little sad we didn't get to meet the Egg Roll Lady, but he was so nice and hospitable as well.On our second order, we ordered the Egg Roll Lady's Platter, a Whole Clam Belly Plate, and the Fried Fish (without fries):Egg Roll Lady's Platter ($14.49): This was supposed to come with 4 egg rolls, 3 crab rangoons, 3 fried shrimp, and 3 chicken fingers, but it actually came with all of that and probably 12+ chicken fingers. The takeout container was completely packed with food, and everything was really delicious. The duck sauce on top of everything really adds a lot here, and everything was great even though we took it home to eat - none of the fried food got soggy. Still, I do recommend at least eating 1 egg roll on site if you can.Whole Clam Belly Plate ($26.95): The bellies here weren't huge, but they also added extra clam strips on top of our order to round it out. It was still a huge amount of food and the batter is great! However, the clams were a bit on the chewy side.Fried fish ($13.75): There was a lot of fish for the price here and the lemon cut through the oil very nicely. They also gave us tartar sauce and hot sauce, which they recommended we mix together and it added a nice punch to the fish! It tasted very meaty and fresh. All in all, the clam belly plate was a little disappointing, but the other dishes and the extra fried food they added at different stages of the meal along with the awesome company from one of the owner's really made this a 5-star review. They were so generous and nice, and the egg rolls themselves were very very good. We will definitely be back!

Overpriced. Fried too hard. Don’t think about eating on-site as venue is teeny tiny small. Friendly folks. Meh food. There for a homecoming football game at Assumption and decided to try it out based on reviews. Paid $85 for big portions, but fish had NO flavor. Zilch. I think it was cod. Family of three adults. Parking is very sketchy on a run down strip. Tried Feng’s Asian Bistro for about $20 more and that experience did not disappoint. If I spend money, I want flavor.

The food portions are huge. I got the fried shrimp with fries and it lasted me two days. They were kind enough to bring my order to my car for me which I appreciated because it was crowded in there. Part of me hopes they upgrade to a place with a seating area in the future.

It's ok. They were out of clam chowder when I went. The egg rolls are different than you might expect but taste good. The crab rangoons are more like crab and cream cheese empanadas. That combo isn't doing either rangoons or empanadas any favors. Fish and chips was good. Overall it's ok for a fish shake. Will try again.
