“Chicharon on another level - the skin is so crispy while the meat stays tender, and it is really flavorful. Even when reheated the next day in the microwave, it stayed crispy and didn’t dry out the meat. I would order this again any day any time. The cheese empanadas were also good, they had a good amount of stretchy cheese in them. I wasn’t really a fan of the chicken noodle soup, it had a lot of odd sized pieces with bones in them so was a little bit of work to eat, but came with white rice that was good. This won’t deter me from going back for that chicharron, and to try a few other things on the menu.“

I read all the reviews and had some concerns, but I was pleasantly surprised. That said, the food was absolutely amazing, hand-made, fresh, authentic, and so, so delicious. Prices are low and you get a lot of food. Everythingg was so amazing.I recommend this place, 100% everything is so good.“
“Willy's Latin Cuisine opened recently in the former Taco Caliente on Chandler Street offering Mexican and El Salvadorian food. Similar to its predecessor, they offer made to order tacos, burritos, nachos, and quesadillas, with choices of meats including birria (shredded beef), asada (steak), barbacoa (shredded beef), al pastor (marinated pork), pollo (chicken), carne molida (ground beef), carnitas (pulled pork), and vegetables. They also have tortas, pupusas, and house special dinners (carne asada/skirt steak or grilled chicken with Salvadorian sausage, rice, refried beans, pico de gallo, and thick hot tortillas. Coke products (cans), bottled water and Jarritos in the cooler. The place is order at the counter with open kitchen and there's table seating and a salsa bar in the bright cozy dining area. Before heading to a new local Irish pub (drinks only/no food service there), I stopped by Willy's Latin Cuisine to pick up some takeout food to enjoy with my cold beer at the pub. The place was moderately busy when I arrived. I ordered the Carne Asada House Special Dinner ($15 plus tax) and 2 Pork & Cheese Pupusas ($3 plus tax each) which was all set and bagged in 10 minutes. I took a 5 minute ride to the pub and I enjoyed a cold Wormtown beer on tap with my dinner from Willy's Latin Cuisine. The Carne Asada Dinner Box had a good amount of food including grilled tender skirt steak over soft rice, a soft red sausage link, fresh pico de gallo, soft refried beans with cheese, and 2 thick hot soft tortillas on the side. The grilled pupusas were very hot and soft filled with soft pork & melted cheese, accompanied with spicy slaw and red sauce in plastic bags. The food was very filling and excellent, especially with a cold draft beer.“
“Food is good, but had to wait an extra 20 mins for my order to be made because it was given to Grubhub. Waitress said they could see if GrubHub will bring it back since the original order was a chicken salad. No discount for their inconvenience. They could have at least waived the convenience fee on using a credit card.“
