I really like this place. We've been here 8-10 times at this point. The food is fairly consistent (I have always liked my meals, but my friends sometimes don't have as much luck). I like their pretzel bites, chicken sandwiches, and burgers - it's a cool touch to have the OBT logo on the buns. Their dessert menu also has a few great options. Drinks are pretty good, and they have cute seasonal cocktails. Service is decent, but I haven't found the host/hostesses very friendly or welcoming - they seem as though they are sometimes annoyed they need to sit people, especially if you have more than 2 people in your party - but maybe they've been having off evenings when I've been there. My only criticisms would be the size of their soft drink cups (which it looks like they have improved, yay!!) and their closing time of 9pm SHARP. If they wish to close at this time, they should stop seating tables a lot earlier than they do. There isn't much communication about last call from the bar (this also includes refills for soft drinks) or last call for the kitchen. One time, we were not able to order dessert because the kitchen had closed - but our waitress never warned us of this. Most recently, we ordered/ate our food in 45 mins, which I think is very speedy, but I still felt rushed by the staff. Our server seemed more focused on cleaning than service, they turned off the music to ensure our quick exit, and stared at us as we walked out at 9:05. I really expected better service for the price of the food. Not sure if I'll be back any time soon, but I'd still recommend them for an early dinner or lunch.

A couple months ago we could not get into OBT on a Saturday night even at 7pm but now we know why. Pros: - Modern rustic vibe (think exposed wood, modern lighting fixtures and leaning into earth tones to complement the wood) - Friendly waitress - Good food options and decent portions - Fair pricing - DELICIOUS onion rings - Not the best blue cheese but it was good - Burger cooked to perfection - The beer cheese was tasty - Pretzels were just salty enough - Chicken tenders were crisped just right Cons: - Not heavy handed on sauces (Our BBQ bourbon burger barely had any sauce on it and I love me some sauce!) - Most of the garlic parm flavor on the tenders was a pile under the tenders on the plate (I had to dip onto the plate for flavor) This place is putting out some good stuff. We will be back to OBT again.

We stopped for dinner while in the area. The decor was cozy and welcoming and the place very busy with locals. I had the Cajun shrimp bowl and my partner had chicken teriyaki entree. The food was ok. In our opinion, things could have used more flavor. Service was good.

This is our family's favorite restaurant. There's something for everyone. My son loves the cheeseburger with the tater tots. My daughter loves the pasta dishes. I love the salmon with broccoli and tater tots and my husband loves the meatloaf with mashed potatoes. The flatbread pizza is also good and the Cobb salad. The staff is friendly and courteous and the meals are delicious. When friends come to visit, I always take them to Oak Barrel Tavern!

Arrived to a barely full restaurant but had to wait for a table as they were apparently understaffed . Waitress was nice but slow with drinks . Ordered the Cajun bowl they didn’t skimp on the shrimp but the portion size was something the size of a kids menu item served in a big bowl . Thought we’d try this rather than our usual haunts but was disappointed.

Tried the bacon cheeseburger with waffle fries, baked haddock, and french onion soup. Food was all pretty good. The drink cups were annoyingly smallParking: Went at lunch when the restaurant wasn't full but the parking lot was pretty packed

Food is always great but the child size drinks are ridiculous so 4 stars as the food is outstanding.

I came here with local friends who love this place as their picky eater teenager can find things to like. The wings were good, the burger ok, the steak tips (sauce on the side) were delicious, sweet potato tots yummy (ask for them baked, not fried). My fish allergy was respected. Our server, Colleen, checked anyhting she wasn't sure of. We didn't save room for dessert so I can't attest to that. We came here on a Thursday night. Several couples with babies enjoyed a quiet night out. Nice atmosphere with lighting good enough that we didn't need to pull out the cell phones for flashlights. Some bench seating, tall chairs, regular chairs. Bathroom was clean, almost picture worthy. Parking lot decent after a snow storm earlier in the week.Dietary restrictions: Good about allergies and double checking.Kid-friendliness: Suitable for kids who do well in restaurants. Baby slept peacefully in a stroller at a nearby table.

Potato nachos were different - but good! Meal was ok - No complaints but nothing spectacular. Waitress was great - right there every time we needed anything.
