The food was pretty good; some of us in our party enjoyed the food more than others. Service wasn't great- people were friendly but they just couldn't get our orders right (in several ways and for 3 of the 4 of us). Drinks were good though!

Instead of ordering individual meals, we shared starters: fried pickle chips, bang-bang broccoli, cheese pizza. It was plenty of food for the two of us, and each dish was its own adventure. The broccoli -- especially -- is a favorite of mine.
I usually love the chopped greek salad- but they changed it with a falafel in the middle that takes away from the size of the salad. I was disappointed. The salad was half the size but same price :(

We enjoyed a drink at the bar beforehand. Great bartenders, nice selection of beer, etc. our server was great. Steak salad was amazing; loved the fish and chips; apps were perfect. Only negative -that they did make right- was that two drinks were simply not made correctly. It was odd but fixed immediately. I would definitely return.

Excellent Fish and Chips. But different. It used a Corn Flake crump breading. Really nice and crispy.I was there mid-afternoon Thursday on a cool sprinkling day. Not a great time for the outlets. It was not very crowded but still had a reasonable attendence. I think that is a testament to food quality.As for atmosphere it had a major mistake. The televisions all had talk shows and no closed captions. Most restrauants and bars now have closed caption on all the time. It was really annoying with lots of faces and jaws flapping. I ask the bartender and she went looking for someone. I guess they could not be bother to turn close caption on.

The two appetizers, cauliflower and nachos, were very good but I ordered the salmon salad bowl and it was disappointing. Mostly white rice, kind of gluey, and no discernible dressing. My sister had General Gau's chicken which she thought was mediocre. However, our server, Grace, was very friendly and efficient, so we left her good tip.

Both burgers and steaks taste terrible...If it weren't for the fact that there were so few choices for shopping here, this store would have simply closed down.

this restaurant used to be one of my boyfriend and I's top fave restaurants, but unfortunately it's gone down hill! we went last night and like always, the buffalo cornflake chicken tenders were amazing, however other than that, there was nothing to boast about. My boyfriend got the grilled chicken sandwich with avocado but was not a fan as the chicken was dry and it lacked flavor. I got the steak tips with mashed and could've gotten away with just a plate of the mashed potatoes because I was not a fan of the steak. Back in the day , they made there steak with a tamari glaze but that is definitely not the case now. The menu lacks variety and it's just not the same as it used to be especially for the prices. I will say however, if you're looking for a STRONG strawberry martini, this is your place. Unfortunately, I can't say we will be coming back to Tavern in the Square but we very much enjoy all of our memories at this restaurant!:)
