I went in last minute to get a takeout order as a surprise for my partner. Ordered a couple of different rolls and it was ready by the time I finished at the store next door. They have the sauces and everything packaged nicely for takeout, and the rolls were awesome. Everything tasted so fresh and it was also affordable. Thanks, Kai ! Hands down the best sushi place in Winnipeg, best kept secret which is why it’s really hard to post this…. Please keep it a secret ;)From first bite to last, everything we had was fantastic. The gomae salad, the calamari tempura, the gyoza, incredible. The rolls are really amazing, we had many but the spicy tuna stands out.Thank you Kai Sushi and see you again soon!

I loved this restaurant. The food was very good, one of the best I've tried in Winnipeg. It has already become my favorite sushi place.
We didn’t get all of the food we ordered, we phoned the restaurant. when we told them our concern, the lady on the phone was aggressive and dismissive of our concern “we do not do refunds” even though we never got our food. The food tasted rancid and I feel sick after eating it. They lady screamed at us through the phone and hung up without ever refunding our money, they stole a lot of money from us. She told us directly that she made it and packed it herself, we didn’t want to argue just wanted our money back. This is the worst service that I have ever had from any restaurant and I will NEVER eat at this place again.
