DO NOT STAY HERE. The management here is absolutely shameful, the manager Alexa Lavallee clearly does not know how to do her job properly and manage this property. On behalf of an employee who works at the hotel, a reservation was made two weeks prior and was confirmed on the 18th. I came in yesterday (November 25) to check in, to find out that the manager Alexa sold my room to another individual, due to them paying full price, and my rate was at the employee pricing. There were no notice given regarding the changes to the reservation or even notified that the room had been sold to another person. Such a lack of communication and respect for clients and employees. As a manager, Alexa Lavallee should be respecting peoples reservations, and if there are any changes made to the reservation, the client should be notified immediately. As a Long Plain band member, I feel embarrassed knowing that somebody like Alexa is representing the face of our urban reserve hotel. Chief and council should review Alexa's position as a manager at Wyndham Garden, and question if she is the correct fit for her role. Lastly, I had requested to have a couple chairs brought up to my room, considering I had been switched from a room that had a couch to a room with only one bed and no couch, I needed more seats for my guests as it was my birthday. The front desk worker had sent an employee to a room to retrieve chairs, but the room had been recently sprayed for bed bugs, as there was a can of bed bug spray sitting on the nightstand! This happened TWO TIMES, two times the employee was sent to rooms that were infested with bed bugs. The bed that I had slept in was disgusting, there were crumbs on the sheets and little black fluffs everywhere. I do not think the sheets were changed, maybe just shaken to get the initial dead skin cells off, but they were NOT washed. I would not recommend staying here, unless you are in favour of sleeping with dead cells and bedbugs, and dealing with the awful manager Alexa, do not stay here.
