I read on my news wall that this institution was closing in April. I remembered my first visit to Mitzi's way back in 2004 during lunchtime. I had a combo with breaded shrimp and chicken fingers and a Coke. I went for lunch visit, and they were closed to restock for tonight. No worries and waited. A few hours later, there's no queue, great.It was bone-chilling windy outside. A suitable wait and final visit. Only take out for service.

My parents took my today to try the chicken finger for the first time before they close and let me tell you the food was DELICIOUS!!. When we came in to order there was at least 50 people ahead of us and ordered food. It was so amazing seeing the community of Winnipeg come to support her retirement.

The Homemade Honey Dill Sauce is a WinnerVisited this place while visiting Winnipeg based on some positive online reviewsFood- Had the chicken fingers with rice and a side of broccoli- Chicken fingers crunchy, not greasy, not overcooked, decent size- Honey dill dressing pleasant, neither the honey nor dill were overpowering- Sadly the rice wasn't fried rice, just plain white with a few packs of soy sauce thrown in the bag- Broccoli nothing specialService- prompt- little wait timeConclusionThis place has a dining room but it's closed. It's now takeout only. It had a local favourite kind of feeling. Definitely no frills food and atmosphere. That said, it was quick and easy and hit the spot. I'd return if even in Winnipeg again. It was decent for what it was.

Best chicken fingers I had! for 10 years we have been coming here to get chicken fingers, we will always go back! thank you so much for the good food!

The chicken fingers with the honey dill sauce here are supremely good. I give 4 stars due to the fact they don't have homemade fries. Crinkle cut freezer fries are sadly what they serve. I'd rather trade those fries for an extra chicken finger or two.
