We celebrated our mom’s 94th birthday today at Sam’s and it was such a wonderful experience. My mom is German and used to cook fabulous German dishes. We wanted her to enjoy the food she used to love to prepare and Gabriel the owner did not disappoint us. He prepared us beautifully prepared schnitzel and Spaetzle. My husband had the Arizona Supreme Ciabatta which was enough to feed two people. Our server was personable and attentive. Gabriel is such a gracious and hospitable host. Thank you Gabriel for making my mom’s birthday so special. We will see you very soon.

Update…..The restaurant has replied blaming door dash but has incorrect information.Door dash doesn’t take orders until 11:30 for your restaurant which is when we ordered and it said ready between 11:58 and 12:13. To say 2 drivers showed up at 11:20 seems odd if we hadn’t even placed the order yet. We were notified at 11:58 that the order was cancelled by the restaurant and then when we tried to reorder the restaurant was listed as closed. The delivery time was never for 12:42. We would have gladly still taken our order when it was ready but it had been cancelled.Very disappointed. We ordered lunch and after the driver was there to pick up they cancelled the order. We were looking forward to lunch and to have it cancelled so long after we placed the order is terrible. If they were that busy it should have been cancelled when we placed the order. It’s ok to be busy but poorly handled. Probably won’t be supporting if that’s the way they handle things.

I can’t speak to the food here but I ordered delivery on DoorDash and half an hour later while the driver was already there they cancelled the order and ruined our business lunch.

Great food and superb service. Gabriel went over and above to prepare a chicken schnitzel with spaetzel for my wife in making sure there was no cross contamination from shellfish which she is highly allergic to. We could not ask for better customer service. It’s always nice to support small local businesses compared to big chain restaurants. They could learn a little from Gabriel’s customer service. Thank you Gabriel, we’ll definitely be back.

From the outside you would never guess they serve European food! If you like hearty home cooking and trying new things, be sure to stop in.A cool part about my visit was my guest from Europe assured me the food was true to its regional influence which made the meal extra tasty and worth the money. Definitely going back.

We love Sam's. Its our favorite new restaurant. Gabriel, the owner, is amazing. So attentive, friendly and helpful. Food is terrific. The pork Schnitzel is delicious - especially with the hunter style gravy.

The fish and potato salad was good. Big portions. Good drink selection. My husband liked the pork schnitzel with hunter’s gravy. The affogato was delicious. Good quality and reasonable prices.

We had an EXCELLENT, truly authentic, German meal. The currywurst passed the German test as did the cheese spaetzle? Our German student felt a little closer to home. The service was great and the owner was incredibly attentive.Go! You will not be disappointed!! And don't miss out on dessert, even though we were stuffed from dinner, it was worth it.
