If you are looking for a variety of great tasting fresh roasted coffee, served by a staff that is both personable and friendly and who clearly enjoy where they work, I highly recommend the Thom Bargen Coffee Roasters at 64 Sherbrooke St. Naturally there is a cost for the coffee, but the variety of eclectic background music and the warm atmosphere are free.

To start I really like TB’s Corydon location in Winnipeg. But in the last couple of weeks their Mocha Latte has been brutal, like they forgot the mocha. I also frequent Little Sister, who’s mochas are a touch better and who make always make their drinks bang on. Shouldn’t be a hard thing to get right all the time??

Cute coffee house near the mis. This cafe was a great visit, their indie theme was well coordinated throughout the relatively big cafe. The drinks were good, I got a tea but hear their coffees are their top sellers.Would recommend for a rainy study day or before going to the mis.

As a "coffee house" the first thing you need is good coffee; Thom Bargen fails at this. The coffee isn't great, especially at their price point & the staff are often rude & indifferent. Don't bother asking for alterations & don't order anything that takes more than 2 minutes to make (anywhere else) as it will take them a very long time. They also don't have any A/C so in the summer, you're better off taking things to go or sitting outside as it gets really, really hot in there.

Bring your noise cancelling earphones. The music is always ridiculously loud and gives off club vibes at times. Not a good place to study, read a book, or chat with a friend.

This is a great location! Don't forget to check out the seating in the back too. Also, their scones are supremely delicious!
