I ordered the curry goat which was almost $25 and received a small portion of goat. The curry was very over seasoned. The oxtails were decent but had little bones Im assuming was supposed to be edible. The rice tatste very box like and not so home made. The plantains and beef patties were the best things they offered. I’m pretty disappointed driving 67 miles just to try.

I understand being busy because the food is good, but it's not good enough to tolerate disrespectful & rude employees. There appeared to be numerous people working, but only one person "helping" with the customers. Drove up from Baltimore, waited almost 10 minutes without being acknowledged, then decided to leave.

I just have to leave a 1 star review smh. The integrity of this business is just trash smh. I visited this place on 10/26/2024. Had a bad experience and left 2 honest 3-star reviews under two different emails. I gave credit where it was due but also was critical on certain things. Their response to my food being skipped by at least 7 customers that ordered AFTER me was “dine in orders matter most” ….. explain to me why making somebody wait for a “Take-out” order just so somebody that is “Dining In” can get their food first. Dine in customers mean they plan on spending their time there right? So I’m confused as to why quickness is a key point for “Dine-In” customers. & Look I’m a very understanding person. If 2 customers after me got their food before me then I wouldn’t have complained, but SEVEN??? That means you literally had my order in the queue just sitting waiting for the right time to make it …. Absolutely unprofessional. Ordered my food at 6:53 and didn’t get my food until 7:20. There were customers that came in at 7 and got their food by 7:10.& to top that off they told me my claims were “invalidated” because I mentioned race being a factor. A company telling a customer that his feelings are validated? I understand denying the claims and defending yourself but also telling a customer their claims are invalidated? That’s professional? What if I was your mom, your dad, your aunt. I work in customer service and that’s how I approach everyday…. How would I want my family members to be treated when I’m not around.& I come back to the previous reviews that I left and see the owner edited his replies just 4 days ago. To an incident that happened 4 months ago. If my claims weren’t valid you wouldn’t have felt the need to back track like that. It’s a shame because like I said the food is delicious. I was just looking for some type of empathy, not combative conversation.

Glad we stopped at this little gem. Family owned (Mom and young adult children manning the counter and register) Caribbean spot with LOTS of options. BBQ chicken, Jerk Chicken, curries, fried plantains, beans and rice, etc. I was in line when I expressed interest in the diner in line ahead of me was getting. Seconds later I the mom was handing me a small bowl with oxtails for my first sample. Ultimately I ordered it. Too fatty for my taste, but the sauce was tasty and made the red beans and rice wonderful. Jerk chicken was tasty and moist. Sides were hit and miss. Hot fries were good. My corn muffin was stunningly fresh - definitely made that day if not an hour before because it was still a little warm and very moist. No mass produced dry cornbread there. No normal fountain drinks. Instead, bottles of Coke de Mexico and homespun concoctions, including a tamarind drink. My daughter enjoyed her orange-pineapple-ginger juice. Lots of people getting carry out. The dining room is spartan. Not a romantic place but functional. I hope to get back there again when I am in the area. 4.5 stars.

I came today and I ordered the jerk chicken rice & peas and stew chicken meal. The cabbage was not seasoned the jerk and peas was dry. The only thing that was good was the coco bread. For this to be a Caribbean restaurant the food was not authentic. Didn't feel like driving to the city but I should have, I'm disappointed for real.

I've been in here twice, and enjoyed both visits. The curry goat is really good, and they have a large menu. They are a little pricy, but you definitely get what you pay for.

Got some tacos from the food truck with a couple fiends and the service was fantastic, even gave us a discount for our tacos. The taco's were amazing as well. Definitely recommend to anyone.
