Place is phenomenal, but they decided it's smart to remove their best dish: Unagi Lover.

Their gluten free menu is awesome! I had no trouble eating here. Tried Sake for the first time here -- it was actually pretty yummy tasted a bit like a peculiar version of wine!

Outstanding quality, atmosphere and service since I’ve been born. The expansion of the dining hall since I haven’t eaten here in over 10yrs is very impressive including the culture and authenticity just as much in the environment that’s also included in the food makes the experience priceless. The cost is perfect for the area and attraction of affordable nutrients.Melissa my server was great!Parking: Dowtown Annapolis surrounding great views of the shopping outlets available in neighboring distance.

The food came out quickly, and the waitress was friendly, but the fish itself was utterly horrible—as though the ownership has no idea how sushi is supposed to be prepared. Gummy and fishy tasting with poorly prepared rice. Do not waste your time or money.

A gem! New favorite place to eat in Annapolis. Lovely atmosphere, delicious food, quick service. I enjoyed the rockfish roll, spicy scallop roll, inari and shiitake nigiri with warm sake. Thank goodness I saved room for the fried bananas!Vegetarian options: There is a vegetarian platter option with rolls and a delicious selection of nigiri (shiitake mushrooms, tofu skin, pickled radish, etc.)

Serving jury duty and I wanted a light lunch so SUSHI. Well it's super light alright where is the tuna? You meant the speck. It was super weak and I'm super disappointed cause Joss is not cheap! I'm not expecting a half a tuna but I would like more than a crumb. I normally don't come here and probably won't again.

Best Sushi in Downtown Annapolis. I've been going to Joss since I was kid, all my birthday and celebration dinners have been here so it has a certain sentimental touch that makes it so special to me. I recently was just there for my birthday funny enough and it was better than I remembered. We started with the steamed pork gyoza, something about getting them steamed leaves them being so soft and tender. The chili vinaigrette that comes with it is beyond words, I usually keep it to dip some simpler rolls in. My table opted for quite a bit of food. My sister got the noodles with chicken, such an underrated banger. Chicken is juicy and the sauce is peanut butter based and topped with bok choy. For rolls the table did a California roll with crabmeat and roe ( a classic, I recommend ), avocado roll, Chesapeake roll ( one of my personal favorites, it is large so beware ), garlic scallop roll (yum), spicy scallop roll ( can never go wrong with this ), and a tuna avocado roll. The service is always great here and the ambiance is great for dates or just catching up. They don't take reservations so keep that in mind. If you're ever in Annapolis and craving sushi, you gotta check this place out.

Great little spot in downtown Annapolis. Service was fast, the sushi tasted super fresh, and the prices seemed comparable to similar sushi spots of equal quality

The service was great! And I love the location! You can people watch in Annapolis! Annapolis is my favorite city, so I definitely plan on making it back here. I enjoyed the sushi, and the service was really good!

I'm always amazed at how a place can have mediocre reviews and yet retain customers time and time again. My wife and I came because we received a gift card to Joss's and we love sushi so we of course wanted to try it out. It's located in Annapolis so that is a plus especially with it being in the downtown area. The cons: The octopus dish Takoyaki is very mushy, over sauced, with just a tiny piece of octopus. It says it is deep fried but there is absolutely no crunch to this dish. 2 stars Pork gyoza pan fried was decent another dish though that had way too much sauce the gyoza was drowning in it. 3 Stars I had three rolls two were blah and only really ate them because I was hungry but they were I think a New York and one was a California type with roe the dragon roll was decent. The MENUS are three different menus which is just too much simplify it! Service was good once we got our waitress. I would not go back unless someone else was paying.

Best Sushi!!! I grew up in Hawai'i and this place reminds me of home. Food is fresh and delicious. Staff is friendly and welcoming. Owner cares! Go! You won't regret it.

One of my favorite places in Annapolis. Hands down the best sushi around. Eat here and it will ruin eating sushi anywhere else because nothing compares to the quality and taste of theirs. Sometimes the service is lackluster, even when it isn't busy, but the food outweighs the occasional inconvenience.

I've Loved Joss' for a long time but hadn't gone for a while before tonight. Upon return the food and presentation were better than ever - some of the best in Annapolis or that I'ver ever had - and the service was as fantastic as ever.I highly, highly recommend Joss'
