We recently hosted a baby shower party for our daughter at the Metropolitan Kitchen & Lounge in Annapolis. The staff made this event incredibly memorable, and it was easy to arrange and pull off. The food and drinks were fantastic, and the service was the best. Thanks so much to Tom Hanna and his staff. :-)

Went for restaurant week and it was really good! Lots of great options. We will be back so we can try more! Our server was very attentive and the manager checked in a couple times. The drinks were good as well. Will be back for rooftop too! Such a cool vibe

Wow! THIS is how you treat your customers. When we arrived for our reservation the place was packed - every table was occupied. The party seated at our table overstayed their time. While we had to wait a half hour past our reservation to be seated, Metropolitan's staff treated us wonderfully! Erin & Gigi arranged for us to have cocktails. Our server Rachel was wonderful. When they were out of the wine we ordered, Gigi provided us a superb alternative from the wine cellar. They went over and beyond to make up for us having to wait. And by the way, the food was worth the wait! The diver scallops and the eggplant caponata were perfect. The duck confit was prepared to perfection and my short ribs were melt-in-your-mouth delicious. We ended the evening with the chocolate grenache and the sponge cake, a fitting end to our dinner. By the way, while we were waiting a table did come available in the bar area. The bar was lively and energetic and we wanted a quieter table so we waited for the dining area (and were happy we did). The Annapolis Restaurant Week menu was what attracted us to Metropolitan. The way the staff took care of us and the delicious offerings are why we will be back. Thank you!

What a find! This restaurant rocks the food is delicious, the ambiance is perfect and the drinks are nicely done. Our servers were also attentive. They have small plates and big plates. My favorite was the octopus. Flavorful and cooked just right; not too chewy just tender enough. Octopus has got to be one of the hardest things to cook correctly. Friend had a burger and she loved it. Seriously go and try it. So happy we came. A new Annapolis favorite. Five stars!

Friday 2.16.24 i hosted my birthday dinner on the rooftop of this resturant. When i say the service was 10/10 i mean that. The staff was so helpful and professional. From the day i inquired about the space to the day of my event they were on it. the food was a 10, all the guest loved. everything was fresh. The bartenders were amazing, best green tea shots i evert had. Tom and Gigi were absolutely amazing. I cant wait to host another event here. Thank you so much to the staff for making my birthday event so special.

I stopped in last night to get a bite , didn't realize walk ins not accepted until 8pm. Luckily I got a spot at the bar! Served right away with water and my drink order- excellent selections. I went with the short rib French dip...5 stars. It literally melted in my mouth. Ambiance was cozy, yet comforting, will be back.

Second time eating here. Both times food was great. Plenty of small plates to keep everyone happy. Many Entrées of all kinds. Service was excellent. Our server Ginger was fantastic. Time our meals perfectly. Plenty of time to finish small plates before entries arrived. Never had an empty glass. Will be coming back next time through town. Paul R

At first glance, this just looks like a typical kind of streetside bar/restaurant that you'd think serves some good beer & hard drinks and maybe a nice burger. But boy, the chef and the kitchen punch WAY above their weight. You'll find burgers (including a lamb burger), but you'll also find delectable shared plates like herb-mint whipped feta spread with hot honey and grilled figs, perfectly cooked scallops served over polenta with a luxurious treatment that leaves them looking less like sea and more like little medallions of filet, and truffle cream gnocchi. There are many Spanish-inspired creations and lots of variety, including some outstanding vegan entries. Well worth a visit.

Atmosphere? The garlic hit u n the face at the door. Wasn't too fond of that. I had the short ribs. Good and tender. But here we go with the garlic again. Mashed or smashed potatoes were loaded with it. I wish they had options for garlic sensitive folks like me. And my guest had the "fries" or whatever they call them. Couldn't eat them because they were also loaded with garlic. Yuk.
