After we were turned away from Harry Browne's because there was only one waitress and she couldn't handle additional guests, we saw this place and were delighted by the woman at the counter who was so warm and friendly and a pure delight. The food was delicious and came out FAST! We were surprised at how quickly 5 orders (sandwiches, salad, and loaded potatoes) all came out boom boom boom .... but the woman at the counter said it best, "we've been doing this for 28 years, we have it down." I loved seeing her chit chat with customers and making them each feel welcomed. Definitely loved the service and the food and wouldn't have even thought to try it until we stopped in front of the cafe wondering where to go eat at 2pm on President's Day. Definitely recommend!

Potato Valley Cafe offers a warm atmosphere tucked into historic Annapolis State Circle, curated by a delightful couple who navigate the restaurant and its varying customers with grace, ensuring a respectful and efficient experience every time I come in. The additional charm comes from the delightful assistance of the staff who help the couple contribute to the overall positive ambiance. I had the bacon cheddar and it was seriously amazing, I will be coming back regularly to get that and try other stuff as well.Parking: It’s a beautiful area and very historic - with that comes a lack of parking that should be expected in this part of Annapolis.

PV is a not easy to find gem, unless you work at the state capital, as its across the street. Super friendly staff, and boy do they do a great job with food. We always get the artichoke potato, but they all look great. Btw they also have an espresso machine!

Drove down from Baltimore to visit this place today, and very happy I did. Excellent service and probably the best baked potato I ever had. Mentioned that I came down from Baltimore and the really nice lady up front gave me a few samples of some of the different meat options for a potato. ALL of them were slamming, but ended up gettin the chicken, bacon and cheddar potato. Loaded and seasoned perfectly. Best tasting potato I’ve had. Tried to save some for later and take it home, but ending up finishing that bad boy right there lol. Well worth the ride

You ABSOLUTELY have to reserve ahead for lunch. Even on a grey Thursday in fall the place is jampacked. Seems to be popular with the state employees from across the street.
