We ordered carryout and bought the shrimp with crab meat and grits. It was seasoned extremely well and hands down some of the best grits ever.The honey French toast was extremely good. The scrambled eggs were bland andThe bacon was OK. The seafood salad was also seasoned well.I am taking one star off because the portion sizes were SMALL. For $26.99 we expected a larger amount for the grits. Instead we received a sm-iny bowl of grits that was more like an appetizer. We could have gotten two large size bowls from elsewhere for that price as we've done before.The shrimp salad portion was small too. Even the amount of chips included were like 1/2 cup. The French toast was average size, and not big and fluffy like some other places. Would we spend $70+ here again for the portions we received? I doubt it.

Excellent homemade food. Very quaint decor and a friendly, community feel. Service was excellent as well. My husband loved his creamed chipped beef and I really enjoyed the eggs and southern potatoes. Will be back to try lunch options!

A must: The food was incredible, so fresh, delicious to the palette! Atmosphere is warm and engaging. They attend to the customers frequently, are attentive and prompt... it's also an honor to dine where the recipes of generations past are still being celebrated!!!

A little embarrassed, I walked in with two suitcases after getting a Lyft from the airport and was welcomed with open arms by the lovely couple who own the restaurant. I immediately felt relaxed as they were beyond attentive and friendly and it was apparent this was no act because everyone who came in was greeted as a friend. The service, the atmosphere, the food, the cafe….all wonderful! I will definitely go back the next time I’m in town. It’s a real treat! Go check it out!!
