“The service was pretty slow, but the falafel was to die for. Perfectly crunchy outside and pillowy inside, and great flavor. The white sauce, which is essentially a thinner tzatziki sauce, was a nice touch and the rice and salad were good too. I had been in the mood for falafel for a while and this definitely satisfied my craving.”

“I took the wife to The Local Restaurant for our date night dinner. This was our first time here. Surprisingly, parking was somewhat limited for a surburban location. Fortunately, they offer valet parking service. Upon entering the restaurant, we were greeted by the hostess and immediately taken to our table. No sooner, our server came and gave us a run down of the night's specials as well as some of the menu items. The staff brought out the free corn bread. I loved it, thought it was the best ever. Wife thought it was too sweet. We ordered the French Dip Bao Buns for appetizer. It consisted of shredded steak in a pita covered with a horseradish sauce. It had good flavor. Didn't need the au jus. For the entree, I had the Steak Frites. The steak being a prime rib cut was tender and juicy with a nice sear on the outside. We both enjoyed the generous portion of tasty truffle parmesan frites that came with the steak. My wife had the Duck Confit with Crab Fried Rice. It came with 2 giant duck legs. The duck meat was tender but the miso glaze was a little too salty for our pallets. The crab fried rice lacked flavor. Crab meat tasted fresh and not fishy tasting. I think I enjoyed the meal more than the wife. We both agreed that the portion sizes were very generous. You definitely will not leave here hungry. We also agreed that the service here is excellent.”

“The arancini was large and wonderful, one of the best I ever had. The cheese steak was tasty but was a bit weak on meat, could add meat and charge more. Marinara sauce was delicious too.”

“Clean inside, went on a Tuesday so no problem sitting for 2...bloomin onion was delicious as usual and the steak was delish....only issue was it is a little more expensive than i remember...our meal was $75 for a glass of wine, app and 2 entrees.”

“My family goes there often. Today, I had the breakfast burrito, which was delicious. The homemade pickled jalapeños are really delicious. My daughter had chicken fingers,which were also quite good. We got tater tots with both entrees. Tater tots are good anytime, anywhere. We left with a cookie each. My peanut butter cookie was delicious, and my daughters Smores cookie got rave reviews as well. Will be going back soon.”

“Came for lunch. Our waitress was really nice but brought out food all at different times. Had crab dip, she-crab soup, shrimp and grits and crabcake platter, everything was delicious. Unfortunately almost every bite of crabcake had shell in it. Told waitress and she said "that's what I've been hearing", then told manager and you would think they would comp something at those prices but didn't offer. Tacos should have 3 per plate instead of 2. Still plan on coming back though as food was 9/10.”

“Great food although on the pricey side. Portions were a bit small but nice presentation. Wine pour by the glass could have been a bit more generous. One diner's glass was sticky so sent back and instead of pouring a new glass of wine the same wine was poured into a new glass. Did not sit well with the table of patrons (and the wine was the most expensive on the menu by the glass).”

“Went on Saturday may 11th and was absolutely amazing. Our waitress was suoer sweet also very gorgeous lol. Food was top tier might be the first place been too ever that had all 7 of our rider correct. 7 people and everything was perfect. Definitely will be returning and also the eclaire was amazing. Thanks fir also being able to split our checks a lot if places hate it but this place snd our waitress did it amazingly and she was just the best person ever.”

They were extremely helpful in getting us started on the hot pot and barbecue. The kids loved the server as she was friendly, helpful, and charming. Highly recommend.”

“As always, Enrique was very welcoming & helpful with advice. The starter of sliced potatoes with light cheese sauce was tasty. The fried whole red snapper was lovely & moist. Snapper has a lot of small bones, so be prepared to separate the flesh from the bones. The Peruvian dessert Mazamorra Morada was very different with its fruit marinated in cloves & purple corn syrup. A very very tasty & interesting dinner. The service was excellent. As always all the tables were clean-as-a-pin & laid out with colorful woven tablecloths from Peru.”

“We loved the food. I ate lunch at G&A in Highlandtown once or twice a week for about 30 years. I had a great cheeseburger, hubby had two of their famous hotdogs and we split an order of french fries and gravy. Same french fries as years ago. Yum! They are open on Thurs and Fri for dinner and they have the same menu I remember. The owner is the Grandson who worked there all of his life. He told me they are going to serve Greek Pastitio for dinner. They serve breakfast all day! The place is brand new, the waitresses are friendly and quick. They have a nice outside eating area too. They are located on Rt 7 in the same small shopping center with Taco Love. Give them a try!!”
