“Bad attitudes wanted” must’ve been on the hiring ad bc service here sucks. I did not get okay service until I dominated. All in all, I intended to surprise my god-mom with a Honduran style breakfast. However the cashier had such a sour attitude that I almost canceled my order. He seemed to assume that I could not pay for the cheap breakfast. For some reason he kept frowning and pointing out the price. I guess he assumed I was a young fool. I felt belittled when all I wanted to do was surprise myMom. Sigh, this happens when you are moreno in a Latinx restaurant- antiblackness. Next time I’ll just get breakfast at El Salvador.

DO NOT SLEEP ON THIS PLACE! It is a true hidden gem. My companions and I stumbled in here randomly one night and enjoyed our food so much that we came back for lunch the next day, even though we were only in Baltimore for a weekend. Having grown up in California, I’ve had access to a lot of amazing Mexican and Central American food, which I think ups my standards a bit. Angela’s exceeded all of my expectations. We ordered the birria tacos, lengua tacos, pupusas, and the chimichanga (not pictured). Everything was extremely flavorful and left us wanting more. The kindness and hospitality of the owners is also readily felt throughout the dining experience. I’m so happy that we got to eat here and can’t wait to come back when I’m in Baltimore again! I definitely plan on trying the soup next time, as it appeared to be the popular choice amongst the locals.
