We were sat and got weird energy right off the bat. We weren't dressed up because it's getting late and we just wanted to try a spot we walked by a lot. Our order came pretty fast, the food was great. No one came to check up on us at the table, we needed a refill and the waiter was no where to be found. A different person came to the table to grab trash then and gave us a weird glance. We decided to leave because we felt isolated and the menu is overpriced anyways. Upon leaving the original waiter was in the front and had the receipt ready before we asked for the check then by pretended to care we were leaving. A guy came up to us and asked if anyone was helping us but we decided to leave anyways. I'm not going back. Also it looks like a video of food I had a while ago was attached to this so ignore that.

Been here for the HH a few times and enjoy the wings and drinks. Went specifically to give Steak Night a try. You get the Ny strip with brussels sprouts and truffle fries for $30. Honestly, it exceeded my expectations. The steak was cooked exactly how I asked and I was surprised at the portion size. My only complaint is the they go a little crazy with the Parmesan on the fries. Outside of that, it was really good. Thursdays are also R&B and wine night so there was a DJ playing some oldies but goodies and current hits over dinner.

I had such a great time we ended up coming back the following day to try out more things on the menu. They had great music and the atmosphere was very trendy and welcoming. The chairs are more comfortable than the booths. Ms. Denise our waitress was AMAZING; and so was the food. Pictured below is the brisket grilled cheese (10)and the fish sandwich (10) but we also tried the crab dip (10) brisket quesadillas (8) & the shrimp with grits (7). I definitely recommend checking it out and ask for Ms. Denise if you can because she is the best waitress there!Parking: Parking in the rear, very reasonably priced.

Korey (King) was my server, food was great happy hour half price was great as well. It's kind of my hangouts but even though I'm taking a break now. I've given them a lot of money over the last 2 months because it's very convenient in addition to the services great and the food is always consistent. Only thing I would not recommend would be the French toast for brunch not because it isn't good because it's delicious but the portion is pretty small other than that I give them five stars that's why they probably gotten over $1,000 in the past 2 months.

My wife ordered a medium rare steak that came out well done. She asked for a new one and we ended up just requesting the check after about 30 minutes of waiting. They automatically add a 20% gratuity for a party of two, which normally wouldn't bother me but the service was extremely slow and that tip wasn't warranted. We came in on a slower day and they weren't slammed or anything. As far as the food, the chips and salsa were delicious and the fries were very good also. I got the ribeye grilled cheese and it was so so, the chili on it was too sweet in my opinion. The atmosphere was the highlight, the DJ was great and the setting was a great mix of casual and lit. The prices were higher than the food and service warranted though. Definitely skip this and go somewhere else. The atmosphere adds a star, but that's all they have going for them.

Went here for brunch for a friend's birthday and had a good time. The food was good and the drinks were nice. Real nice vibe for brunch time with the DJ. I would definitely come back next time I'm in town.

We arrived about 11:30 on a Sunday and the place was empty. Unfortunately the music was blaring. near the bar so we chose a table as far away from it as possible (later I saw a party of four seated near the bar get up and leave shortly after being seated probably because of the loud music, high prices, or poor service or a combination of these things). Avenue Kitchen & Bar needs to decide whether it's a restaurant or a club. It can't be both. People don't go to a restaurant for the music or a club for the food. One of my party asked our server for coffee and was told "I'm not sure we have any." What?! No coffee on a Sunday morning, prime brunch time?! Apparently there was coffee but apparently not fresh coffee as it looked and tasted like it had been sitting somewhere for hours and possibly reheated. The other drink we ordered took quite a while to arrive which was a mystery since once there was only one customer at the bar. Our server was nice enough though he seemed a bit unsure of himself. Perhaps he was new? I had scoped out the menu online and chose what I wanted to order unfortunately beforehand but what I wanted wasn't on the menu they handed us. Another annoyance: a customer talking very loudly on her speakerphone and her party walked in and was seated next to us. When I asked her very politely to take her call off its speaker she and a male friend who was with her became threatening and aggressive which was a bit scary. When our food arrived the bus person didn't know who ordered what, which is another pet peeve of mine. Finally, when we received the check we were told that a 20% gratuity had been added to the bill -- for a party of three?! Nowhere on their menu or online is this charge mentioned. I object to restaurants that don't pay their staff a living wage then pass on their added service fees and automatic gratuities to their customers which allows lackadaisical or poor service to be rewarded... The food was alright ( the potatoes were a bit al dente and underdone), (but not worth the rather high prices) but the overall experience isn't one we would ever care to repeat.

When I think of Baltimore, I think of amazing crab. Really good crab dip, crab cakes, crab pretzels, crab EVERYthing. While visiting Baltimore recently I popped into Avenue Kitchen & Bar because I needed to eat some crab. I came in on a weekday during happy hour. The inside only had a couple of people in it and was pretty dark. My friends and I quickly decided to dine outdoors to take advantage of the beautiful day. They have outdoor lounge seating area that is pretty cozy and perfect for looking at all the cute dogs walk by (haha). Our waitress was very nice and made recommendations from the menu. She honestly told me that sometimes their crab cakes are a hit and sometimes they're a miss. I'm glad she was honest because after hearing that I was not about to spend $50 on a crab cake that wasn't good. So I opted for the next best thing... some crab dip especially because it was on happy hour. When I received the food I was shocked to see tortilla chips, bread, side of peppers, and big chunks of crab above a mountain of cheese. This plate is pretty large, especially being on happy hour. I was very curious to taste the crab dip and unfortunately it was very mid..actually below mid. The crab tasted weird and when you moved the 3 big chunks of grab there was almost nothing but cheese and cream cheese mixed together. The crab dip lacked quality crab and flavor. I would not recommend at all and don't think I'll be coming back here for food. What I will say though. The orange crush that I had was delicious! Would definitely come back for drinks, they were on happy hour and a good price.

i was meeting a friend and they suggested this place so decided to check it out. overall it’s a nice upper casual place but the prices are high and ours has 20% gratuity already included even though we were two peoplewe got the roasted veggies platter, the crispy Brussel sprouts, and the steak with sides. the brussel sprouts were good and my friend said the steak was decent - the sides were very good. the veggie platter itself was alright, but the next day when i combined the brussel sprouts and veggies then it tasted betteroverall the place offered decent food in a nice ambiance; though not sure it was worth the high price

Me and my boyfriend have come here many times and enjoyed the food and service. We came tonight on a Thursday and they ran out of fries for the burgers we ordered. They mixed our burgers up and were completely unapologetic about it. I was annoyed at the manager who stopped me from telling the waitress so that he could give her his orders smh.If not for the vibe the DJ was bringing I would’ve left. I feel like this place is falling off if you ask me

My shrimp and grits were a 10/10, the cornbread was a nice addition. The service could have been a lot better 5/10.

Very disappointed and very expensive. Food was just okay! Bottomless mimosas/sangria, it not bottomless, they bring you them glass by glass and it takes forever ever to get a drink! We will never return!! Advise to go somewhere else.

The wait time to be acknowledge was horrible, we seated ourselves. Countless things on the Menu were not available. We had drinks and left.
