My husband and I met at Berthas 40+ years ago. We came to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary just to see this institution had closed permanently! ? I’d like to thank you both for the years you dedicated to Fells Point. You will forever be one of the reasons we have such a wonderful family. Good luck to you in your next chapter! Tom and Debie ❤️

If we are craving calamari or mussels, we come HERE. The calamari is flash fried, sprinkled with Parmesan cheese and topped with banana peppers. It sounded odd at first, but it legit is SO GOOD. Adds the perfect "zing" to the overall flavor. One must try ALL the mussels on the menu! White wine is the perfect French fry dipper, garlic butter can legit be poured into a wine glass and sipped on (don't judge), and the spicy Thai will have you licking the bowl.

We came here for mussels on Halloween weekend. The outdoor seating offered a great view of fells and the festivities. The mussels were all great, we tried several different flavors and mixed and matched. The fries were also great. They sent us home with the classic eat Bertha's mussels bumper stickers also!

As usual, the food was very good. However I am disappointed with the no multiple choices of sauces.

My family and I went to this place to get some food and drinks during the Fells Point Fun Festival and I don't see what the hype is about this place. The outside eating area is not wide enough so that when you sit on the open end of the area someone could fall and hurt themself because the ledge the platform is not even with the curb and there is not enough room to move the chair out to get up out of the chair. The price of the food is not worth it, my older brother had the crab cake that looked small and dry and the french fries serving was sooo small, my younger brother had the crab soup and it all vegetable and hardly no crab meat, my order was simple a cheeseburger with ketchup and mustard that came with a very small serving of french fries also and when I was served the cheeseburger it had lettuce and tomato not ketchup and mustard. for $14.00 I could of went to a local sub shop and got a cheeseburger sub with french fries and I would have gotten a huge order of french fries with that order. when it came time to leave I went into the bar to use the bathroom. I know that most of buildings in Fells Point are long and narrow but the doors to the bathroom are smaller than the regular size doors to a bathroom and how would a very big person suppose to use the bathroom if they couldn't get through the door? so I would say you could leave here bruised, broken, starving and robbed.

Great places to eat I ordered the fried chicken with Mac and cheese and collard greens it was excellent in my opinion the food took a little long but it was worth the wait as me an my partner were in no rush, if you go while the ravens are playing you get a free shot every time they score a touchdown, last thing the hospitality was top tier, almost as good as the food.

Had to go- but never need to go again. Mussels are small and underwhelming. As this was my first time, I think I'm still safe in saying -" it's not what it used to be". Baltimore has so many great restaurants - don't bother going here.

Just flew in this morning. We were excited to go to this place. It took forever to get a drink and they were dead but we waited 45 minutes for mussels. They served mussels to a table that was only there 15 minutes. We asked if those were ours. They said no. I'm thinking they forgot to place our order. We canceled. The bartender said the kitchen was backed up. Sad excuse when it was a lie. Also... for a free peek show. Sit infront of the men's bathroom. There's no lock. Wasted our time.

So much character and impeccable seafood. Hands-down, a delightful and "have to" experience. Can't wait to go again.

a baltimore staple known for its mussels. Mussels were not super flavorful and service was slow. very small restaurant in Fells point but an overall ok experience.

Loved the dive bar vibe with good cocktail drinks and food to go with it. They have $21 mussel deal with fries. It is enough mussels to feed 3 people but I had it with two and we were full. The The lavender haze cocktail was delicious.

Found this place by accident while attending the Fell’s Point Festival. Ordered the garlic butter mussels and a BBQ burger. We didn’t get the hype. The burger was dry and tasted like meatloaf. The mussels, although beard-free, weren’t to “die for.” Very old bar with lots of character, but super dusty. Service was okay but it was also busy. The live music was super loud but we probably should’ve sat outside instead. The entertainers weren’t bad but not great, and begging for tips was kind of distasteful.

I came here specifically to try the Maryland Crab Soup and Crab Cakes. Very good! The soup was meaty and comforting on a nice cool day. Perfect for the weather I experienced on the day I visited. The cocktail I ordered was not memorable. The service was fast, professional, and welcoming. I sat outside on the patio. The space was clean and perfect, as we were dining with a furry pet. I highly recommend this spot. I visited on a Saturday and there was live music inside. A nice vibe and is a perfect go-to while exploring in inner harbour.

We were at Fell's Point and decided to have dinner here to enjoy the breeze on a hot day. There are many choices along and around the pier. Bertha's menu is not extensive, but they do have daily special. The crab soup was very good. The mussels are a must with their special sauce. The crab cake had a lot of crab but is quite filling. We also had the classic burger which was quite good. Would definitely recommend for fellow travellers.
