Sit at the bar. Order the white mussels. Order a pizza. Drink many cocktails. You won’t regret it.

Limited but tasty food items on Happy Hour menu, throughout restaurant, with lots of Evolution craft beers (small Happy Hour size, $3). Main course gemelli pasta truly delicious with intense gorgonzola sauce (love gorgonzola, or don't get it--it's that intense, seriously!). Husband's Honey Belly pizza was incredibly unusual and a spicy-sweet combo of pork belly slices, roasted peppers, honey, chili oil?, and some cheeses. It worked great for him, but not my cup of fat...er..tea! No room for dessert, but prior visit highlighted the "Kit Kat" chocolate dessert as off the charts for us chocolate lovers!Dietary restrictions: Offers gluten-free pasta.

We hadn’t been back to this restaurant for several months. In the past we’ve always had a good meal. Today was no different, but there was one glaring problem. The calamary appetizer was a special, and it was great. The portion was large, and it was cooked perfectly. We ordered the New York strip steak and gluten-free pasta, which is made in house with Boar Bolognese. The NY Strip Steak was cooked perfectly and served with grilled peppers and roasted potatoes was thoroughly enjoyed. This was some of the best gluten-free pasta. I’ve had out at a restaurant! I should add so we didn’t get it this time they make it absolutely excellent gluten-free pizzaThe big problem was our entrées came out, almost immediately after our appetizer did. We then had to choose which we were going to eat while something else got cold. This is really a problem with the wait staff and the kitchen, not communicating where we were in our meal before bringing out the entrées.Aside from that hiccup, we thoroughly enjoyed our time at the restaurant, would not hesitate to come back again, or tell others to do so.The only difference we would make, would be we would order appetizers and wait to order the entrée to ensure there is proper timing between the two courses.Dietary restrictions: Great homemade gluten free pasta on this occasion. On other visits they only had the standard commercially available gluten free penne pasta so many restaurants serve.Great gluten pizza and many gluten free options

Love the burrata bruschetta and the Caesar salad- one of the all time best Caesar’s, love their croutons. I try to get a new entree when I go and have never been disappointed but I especially love the boar bolognese. Have to finish with the Italian Kit Kat- if we’re too full, we order one to go. Service is usually excellent as most of the staff has been there a while and you can tell they really love the food. Has been and will continue to be one of my favorite places in the neighborhood/Baltimore.

Service was great! Waitress very attentive. Food very tasty but the pasta was barely even warm. I am not one to send back or complain. I also think the actual server could be taught to place the dishes down gently vs. so abruptly. Could be a guy thing!

Bad experience. Very disappointing. Began with they could not find our reservation. Restaurant was empty. Should not have been an issue. Service went downhill from there. Sorry. We used to live this restaurant.

The Caesar salad was the best I've ever had. The pizza was outstanding. They made a Birroteca Old Fashioned. It was delicious. The bartender Sean was great. The service was amazing too.

First time to visit Birroteca. We took the light rail to Woodberry and walked about 10 minutes to the restaurant. Not the most scenic walk, but ok. The interior of the restaurant is quaint and inviting. The service efficient, knowledgable and friendly. The menu was interesting with quite a few unusual options, as well as pizza. We both had garlic bread and pasta dishes that were well prepared and tasty, with adequate portions. One of the better places we've been in Baltimore, and we recommend it.

I would have given 5 stars but food was to salty. I love salt but the mussels in garlic wine was too salty same with the spaghetti with meatballs.
