Food, service, parking, ambience are all really good. Family friendly. Ambience has an authentic Japanese feel to it. One of the Few sushi places with real tasty vegetarian options. Food is fresh and reasonably priced.

Chiyo Sushi in Mt. Washington is a true gem, offering a warm welcome and an authentic Japanese dining experience. The menu features a delightful mix of traditional sushi and innovative dishes, all showcasing the freshest ingredients. The standout for me was the Roast Duck and Dragon Roll, a testament to the chefs' creativity and attention to detail.

Im honestly perplexed. We stopped by since the reviews are good and the pictures look good. The whole experience was truly unpleasant. The place is dirty and the floors are worn and dusty - there is a distinct unclean feeling that should have warned me off, especially since its a sushi restaurant. But I ignored my better judgement and ordered. Also waitress seemed irritated? Held out her hand for the menus in a frustrated manner when we finished ordering. My daughter said hi to her and she ignored her. Very strange and unwelcoming - i felt like we were annoying her / in trouble. Then, the fish came - oof. The salmon nigiri was dry? And both mine and my husband's tasted really fishy, the krabbe roll was also fishy and on top of all of this the sushi rice was completely wrong texturally and unseasoned. Start to finish this was bizarre and unpleasant :( Back to yama I guess.

My family sometimes in the past had gotten carry out from here before we dined in. Since the tables are all on the second floor at the top of some steep stairs accessibility probably isn't the best. There is a large menu, with plenty of options. I ordered the beef teriyaki lunch which came with soup, salad, and rice, I really enjoyed it. I also ordered a marble soda which was pretty tasty, although it took a few seconds for me to open since it's been so long since I had one. In order to open a marble soda you need to take off the plastic film, remove the outer cap, punch out the opener from the middle of the removed cap, and then you can use the opener to dislodge the marble so that you can have a drink.

Food was good, fresh, and presentable. BF and I shared a tempura appetizer and we each got a diff type of sushi roll. The service could have been better, I think the kid was just having an off day. The place was cozy and had seemingly cool Japanese decor. Little dark but I think that's what they were going for. One thing I'd recommend is maybe less choices - choices were overwhelming. Menu pics would also be super appreciated.

The food is always fresh and innovative The staff treats you like family from the moment you walk through the door. There are two floors and a sushi bar area that you can sit and eat at. The restaurant is cozy and the have nice music playing and beautiful art on the walls. They share a parking lot with some other shops.

The avocado on our sushi was black - and the fish was mushy. Store bought is fresher than this.

This is the second time in a year with slow, apathetic service and mediocre food the first time, now terrible. The take-out rolls looked and tasted like they had been sitting around. If i weren’t already home I would have sent them back. I feel bad for my friends who paid and thought they were treating us to a nice meal.

I was not expecting how big the Mix Ebi Tempura is. Japanese beer is a must! I should have tried their plum wine but will do that next time. Home likeAmbience. The Waitress was superb and serving was fast. It really is hard to find a real Japanese Restaurant here in my area but if you see Japanese folks eating in groups (as i can understand what my next table is) then you know this place is a must try! Fully recommended!
