I tried to get a meal here before a show next door at AN Die Music last saturday evening 3/23/24. Yes, there was a sign at the door saying reservations only but because there was only one table occupied I thought, maybe?......A guy came from the rear looking a little exasperated and slightly threatening, and asked "can i help you?. I said yes, I'd like to eat. He explained, no reservation no meal. "Not even at the bar", I asked? "No". There was no one at the bar, SMH. I don't know what time this crowd was showing up but I had no intenton of spending the whole evening there. As a Black Businessman this was inconceivable to me. If someone climbs those steps ready to spend money, Get the money if at all possible! No brainer to me. To his credit, he did apologize as I walked out, my feelings hurt and my self esteem in pieces.. But as I consider the long list of shuttered restaurants in baltimore I cant help but think that one day he might miss the money I never got a chance to spend. Of course I will return one day. Or will I? Home Slyce pizza down the street had a great Salmon sandwich! And the show next door was excellent!

My family and I arrived early for our 7:30pm reservation we were seated quickly, orders taken the peach mango tea is amazing. We had the stuffed shrimp and crab corn chowder to start. Giant shrimp shared among the 4 of us. The chowder was well seasoned and a large bowl that could be shared. I didn’t but you could. The entrees were seafood creole x2. The chicken and waffles and the blackened salmon. Everyone pleased, well seasoned without being over seasoned and nice atmosphere. Our second visit. We will return again and again you should too

Everything was amazing, atmosphere, service and food was top tier, great birthday dinner will definitely be
We were a party of 8, celebrating a friend’s birthday. They wouldn’t sure him a drink at the bar just water. When got there where sat at a table for 20 minutes. Then moved again to high tip tables 25 minutes. The sever took the menus, and we asked if we could please have. The came over and took the menu from in our party, because she said a bad word that was lie. Then he proceeded to say get out I’m cancelling your party, get out, get out. Then someone from the party said let me speak to the owner. The patrons said he was the owner, I will never step a foot in that establishment again.

That saying First Impression, last Impression. Well it was not a good experience. Went to celebrate a friends 65th birthday. He selected the spot because its one of his favorite and he loves to support black owned businesses.Long story short we were asked to leave after about a 20-30 minute wait. Two guest came in late therefore we were seated in a different location of the restaurant. After sitting for about 15 minutes one of our guest chose to hand out the menu's. Well the owner was upset and chose not to serve us and asked us to leave. My 82 year old mother was a part of the party and she kept asking what did we do, why are we being asked to leave after sitting almost an hour, no response. The birthday guy just left. I was quit quit devastates; however I should not have been. I was for warned. The food is good but, "the owner has a nasty attitude."With that said, I chose not to spend my where customer service is not extended to me.
Food was excellent, food was hot when served, I had the blacken Louisiana's catfish with rich and creamy white sauce with chunks of shrimp and salmon, sauté spinach and a small skillet of cornbread. NUFF SAID!!

The food was delicious, and I enjoyed the hard mango tea. It was very intimate, I think the woman said they do reservations for dining in and carry-out. That was a little strange. Overall, we had a great time celebrating my mother's birthday. The cornbread appetizer was good. Everyone's food was served hot. It is a place I'd like to return and try another item, especially the apple dessert.
I don't need to go deep into details, because the food speaks for itself. Great food and I'm already looking forward to visiting again next year when I'm in town.
