Sensational. Idk bout the reviews but it's a mom pop and son biz, if you were running a restaurant and everyone's multitasking you'd want grace, so give them grace, bc if it was you you'd understand. The mom is the cook, cleaner and all Around great person, she don't say much, but I feel the love, and why yall need to talk to her anyway she working. Bc I saw a few reviews talking about her cut it out. The food is authentic, energy authentic, everything authentic. The portions are crazy for carry out and even larger for dine in. I LOVE IT. Welcome to the area. . My 3rd time and I haven't been disappointed. If you got an issue they are quick to remedy it. It's all made with love. So be gentle

Ooh la la! Calling all vegans and vegetarians! Such great options. Mac n’ chz was good with lots of flavor. The spinach pie, which was LABELLED (!!!), was really good and was very nicely spiced. The jerk chickn was spicy and yummy! The sides of cabbage, kale, and rice/beans were also all really good. Some vegan soul can be overly salty or totally bland. This meal hit the right balance with everything. The sorrel was not too sweet and refreshing. Don’t forget to grab a side of hot sauce for the rice and beans! Will definitely be back.Vegetarian options: Spinach patty, veggie patty, jerk chickn, wings, curry chickpeas, cabbage, kale, sorrel.

So disappointed. Not sure if I caught them on a bad day however I will not recommend. Cabbage was pretty good but rice and beans had no taste. The Snapper was HORRIBLE! It’s not one good thing I can say about it. Customer service was okay. The gentlemen up front were nice. The lady cooking not pleasant at all. I could say more but I’ll leave it at that.

The hype is real, y'all. Probably the best vegan food we've had in a restaurant. My 1 year old loved the greens, daughter enjoyed the vegan Mac and my husband and oldest really enjoyed their vegan wings. I had the vegan jerk chicken and it was nostalgic for me! Our friends brought us here and they really enjoyed their food too! The service was excellent and the atmosphere is inviting. My one issue with the place is that it's not in Frederick. ?

I had someone rave to me about how good the food is here, so I wanted to try it for myself. I must say I didn’t have a pleasurable experience. I returned there today after coming earlier in the week, at that time the kitchen was closed. A male worker was so nice to me earlier in the week, that I told him I loved the vibe and would be back after coming all the way from across town to begin with. When I got in today I spoke to the owner, and she gave a VERY nonchalant hello, then the male worker informed her that I was the one who came in earlier in the week, and came back. She didn’t say a word she just looked at me as if to say OK and. I then proceeded to order, but they were out of oxtails, so I said ok I’ll get something else instead. The owner STILL didn’t say a word. I get it we don’t have it choose something else, but to not even acknowledge how much effort I put into patronizing the business was insane to me. I really really wanted to like/try this place, but I just couldn’t spend my money there today. Maybe I’ll give them another try because the male worker was very kind, idk. First impressions are a big thing to me.

Third time I have stopped by and the food has hit the mark 3/3. The chef/owner knows what she is doing. The main dishes are delish. Plenty of food and a more than reasonable price point. There is a lot of love that goes into each dish. It is kind of styled as a carryout with the food making and ordering at the back of the African merchandise shop. I ate in all three times and the service and setting were more than adequate. I would recommend the main dishes. I have had the brownstew chicken, goat curry, and oxtail. All the sauces were deep, rich and packed with flavor. All the meats were tender as they should be. Each served on a perfectly cooked bed of rice. The sides are some plantains and some delicious mixed cabbage. I am not sure what she does with the cabbage but it is wonderful (light, firm, and flavorful). That they also have the good scotch bonnet hot sauce and the dg ginger beer is an added bonus. Great for carryout and a nice sit down meal with a friend or partner. Go by soon!

Vegan jerk chicken pasta is amazing. Little on the spicy side for my lady on the medium spice but I went full spice and slaps. Mac and Cheese is solid and don’t sleep on the meat pies.Dietary restrictions: Vegan friendly 100%Parking: It is around back, easy to drive past

We had the jerk chicken with rice and peas and greens as well as the brown stew chicken with rice and peas and cabbage and enjoyed both dishes along with a side of coco bread. The serving sizes were large and my stomach felt good after the meal. It was a quiet setting with plenty of seating. The staff was friendly and helpful.
