Dim Sum was ok. But dinner dishes were not so good. We ordered half a steam chicken and it had weird taste as if it was not fresh. We ordered chinese broccoli but they were not being clean well, they still carried sand.

Beautiful austere interior but with plenty of warm bright lighting. So so so happy there were carts! Carts filled with some of the BEST dim sum I have ever had. I have been to multiple dim sum restaurants in multiple cities on both coasts — this place knows what they’re doing. The pork buns were so tasty and fluffy. All the classics here and very well prepared.

The food here is excellent. By far, the best Chinese food in the Catonsville/Woodlawn area.

This is my 2nd time there. Went there last year not too long after they opened and it was packed. We had a large group of about 9-10 of us last year and they seated us in the back room. I have to say, the service was impeccable. It totally felt like we were privately awaited upon that day. The food was good. It wasn't the best nor the worst. And seeing how busy they were, I was both impressed and amazed at how they kept it going on. So due to it's hectic pace, I didn't think too much about it. So today, my family went there again and this time there was 6 of us. We were seated promptly because we got there right around opening. Again the service couldn't have been any better. They were all super attentive and didn't have to ask today for anything. Water? Never needed to ask not once, and we are heavy water drinkers. Now the food. Since it was a little less hectic, I tried to pay more attention to the food this time. And what I noticed was the lack of variety in the carts that were coming around. Between the 6 of us, we got 17 items but we probably could have gotten double that if there were more variety. If the same carts keep coming around with the same dishes, then it is time to go. The other thing I noticed was that the dishes for the most part, were not hot, indeed not even warm. That was the reason we didn't go to a closer dim sum restaurant because I distinctly remember one dish that was served cold. To be honest, I don't even remember if dim sum was served hot at any point in other restaurants, or am I just noticing now? But to be sure, temperature of the food is vital to its enjoyment, at least for me. So, since I really like the service and I know the restaurant is trying it's best, if I can make 2 suggestions: 1) add more variety (to be fair, it may just me us not being adventurous in not eating all their offerings) because I don't remember leaving with the thought we tried everything we liked. 2) serve items HOT. I know its been done before because I have seen heated carts before. Otherwise, the more the dishes go around, the colder it gets. I am sure we will try back again sometime this year to see if anything changes because I do like the place and the people because they are trying their best. Here are some pics from the 2 times we visited

When it comes to quick cravings, this Dimsum spot will somewhat get you a quick fix. There are other spots that are better, but this spot is not bad.

If you love Dim Sum, this is the place! A fabulous find in Catonsville, MD. The Dim Sum Palace is packed most weekends; and the line out the door is a testament to how great the food is inside. The atmosphere is lively, with large families and a harried staff, but they have a system that works, so just go with it.

I ve been here for dim sum with my family , I was impress with their traditional push cart DimSum style & I fell in love with the back private room space so much. So when I was looking for a place to celebrate my husband's milestone bday , I immediately thought of dim sum palace . Even though I have not yet been here for dinner. So glad I did_ DimSum palace has spacey parking lot, clean , warm ambiance , party room can hold up to 30-35 ppl easily. The food was good, I ordered in advance 8 dishes for party of 25 & food came out very fast the service here = phenomenal , our main waiter for the event was Alvin 5 stars to his customer service ! Alvin takes awesome pictures & he even sang hbbd to us in Chinese prior to our spontaneous request right as I got seated 5 minutes after he greeted us :) DimSum palace will definitely be one of our family go too for brunch or dinner from now on! Thankyou Dim Sum palace so much for a great dining experience.

We've been here twice now, right when they open at 11. We've actually arrived both times a bit before 11 and they already are open seating tables. Carts with a lot of variety come around frequently. Service is excellent, food is delicious. We've found our new dim sum spot!

We showed up 10-15 minutes before dim sum was over. We received two carts to pick dim sum from and for the most part, everything tasted good. It was a little on the expensive side but my fave thing was the black charcoal yolk bun and they had it made fresh since it wasn't on either cart. The restaurant was simple yet elegant. Would go back if in the area.

Good food service and ambiance. Clean and not overly salty like some other dim sum places.

I actually was invited here to a lunar new years Taiwanese event, since my wife is from Taiwan, so the whole place was packed with a Taiwanese group. It was fun, love the energy the food was good! I’ve had my fair share of Sichuan cuisine and Asian cuisine. We started off with some appetizers, shrimp balls, which I feel didn’t have much shrimp in them since they were so ground it up you couldn’t really tell. The flavor was OK. But I wish there were chunky bits of shrimp in there. Then there was the red beef, some pickled veggies and another meat, which I think was duck? I can’t remember, and I will have to see if my wife still has the menu so I can update this lol! We got some whole shrimp. Yes with the head on, and some people eat the whole shrimp skin and all. Because these were fried, so you could eat the skin and wouldn’t notice the difference. They were good! We also got a whole steamed chicken cut up. Not a big fan of this style of chicken. Depending on who makes it will also depend on how good it is. Although it was cooked perfectly juicy, it was very bland in flavor. So when you get something like this, the next best thing is to make sure you have some sauce to dip it in. And a lot of Asian dishes the flavor is more in the sauce than anything else. And then we got rice, which was seasoned with meat, egg, and other things that went by pretty quickly. And we got some Chinese, broccoli, and crab styled soup, which is similar and texture to egg drop soup. We also had a large whole fried fish which was pretty tasty… But when they come Whole, you have to deal with bones. And if you’re not a fan of that, this might not be for you. But Asians love whole Fish.Because we didn’t order here and try foods, we like… I’m just doing this review on my experience with the food that was served for the event. If I do find out the names of the dishes, I will write them down. There was a lot of people at this event, and Foued came out rather quickly and continuously.
