It was our first time here (we were in from out of town) and the place was popping - but no wonder as the food was absolutely delicious! So much flavor and those buns are to die for…will def be back next time we’re in the city.

We had an amazing to go dinner at Ekiben. We tried the spicy Neighborhood Bird as a bun, love to see a fried chicken thigh sandwich! We also had a beef bowl that could feed a small family. The fried tofu with peanut dressing was very unique. Only down aide is the small seating area, but we and most others were able to grab a table when needed. Also the workers were kind and full of information on the food!

I had my first tofu bun at Camden Yards today. It was amazing! The bun was super soft. The fried tofu was covered in a sweet sauce. Veggies were all crunchy and fresh. Sandwich was very filling. I look forward to visiting the restaurant to try their other items!

AMAZING FOOD! Small space but loads of people getting pick up and to go. The spicy neighborhood bun was delicious and the pho spiced cheesesteak eggroll was D E L I C I O U S!! Will definitely be going back!
Asian fusion cuisine. Hype hype. Ekiben puts bao buns to shame. Maryland raised locals making some dope food. So much flavor, combinations, and freshness. The Original is chicken meatballs in a grilled with curry sauce. Curry and chickeb go hand in hand, but the meatball style keeps the whole thing so tender and juicy. Pickled cabbage and onions are standard to give it a acidity balance. This only boosts the flavors. Ordered as a bun that is the size of your face.Pork shoulder on rice was also amazing. Braised and tender in a butter sauce. Tomato's and mango salad cuts the deep fattiness of the pork and provides a fresh feel. Compared to when I first visited, the portions are really worth the value now.Fried broccoli is a must order. Drizzled in a rice wine vinaigrette, the sweet oily saltiness combination of the broccoli texture is ridiculously out of this world.Service is self serve but crew does an outstanding job. The guys really try to make sure everything is delish.10/10 must visit hole in the wall flavor town. After 3 years of this review. It's is still the best hole in the wall in all of Baltimore's. Their portions have gone up without the sacrifice of quality and the amount of umami in every dish is insane.
Let me preface this review by saying I fully expected to call this place overrated, I was completely wrong. It is the best fried chicken I’ve ever had. I got the neighborhood bird sandwich, spicy. Incredibly flavorful, the crunch and crispy chicken was insane. The sauce was hot while still maintaining actual flavor and not feeling like it was too hot. The homemade pickles were a nice crisp and cool addition. Absolutely incredible. Best chicken sandwich ever.10/10.

We had an amazing lunch at Ekiben! We tried the Neighborhood Bird as a bun, which was amazing! I love to see a fried chicken thigh sandwich!! We also had a beef bowl that could feed a small family. Food is always fantastic, probably the best takeout spot in fells point. Love their tofu, and the spicy bird is another excellent go-to! Picking up takeout can be a little chaotic due to the small space but it’s worth it for the food!
soo...a coworker brought me a neighborhood bird sandwich and it was amazing! Went back two days later, thai iced tea was sold out....tried the pho egg roll...it was like a cheese stick that you pack in a child's lunchbox with meat around it and then fried....the size was small, the cheese was not melted and it was a mess....stick with the chicken sandwich....if it ain't broke don't fix it!

Okay listen, Ekiben is AMAZING. Their bowls include fresh herbs and pickled veggies and are hands down the best flavor combos you'll ever experience. Like, I might be in a codependent relationship with the food here. But the other thing is, they are good people and I love supporting this local business. Yesterday I was running errands for a friend who had just gotten out of the hospital, and I decided that some Ekiben would make her day better. When I told them the order was to brighten my friend's day, they threw in a free beverage and Ekiben baseball cap for her. This was so incredibly kind. And it really did make my friend's day. Thank you Ekiben for your stellar food and customer service. I'm a customer for life!
Small restaurant with limited bar & stool seating. Chill vibe. EXCELLENT food. I had The Original on a bun and it was phenomenal. I also had a side of the Red Beans & Rice which was incredible. Everything was bursting with flavor.I should note that they are very liberal with their use of cilantro, so if you're a "cilantro tastes like soap" person, be sure to ask if they can exclude it from your dish. I don't know if they can, but it won't hurt to ask.Vegetarian options: Tofu, vegetables, beans & riceParking: Street parking. Free at some point during the evenings and weekends.
